Elementor data updater basically is a database update process for a major release.

I suggest trying to clear cache on your end.

It might be linked to your theme or 3rd party plugin as it working fine on my end on a clean website.

I suggest trying switching to a different theme and disabling all plugins besides Elementor and to see if this works.
