Hi Dragos,
Yes, after escalating within our Host support they found the problem. All working well now ?? See below.
“The translation plugin was adjusting the .htaccess file every time and ES page was accessed. I have locked it to avoid those changes and now all is working well. ”
Maybe other people can use this information?
Thankyou for your help
Cheers
RichardHi,
Here’s some further feedback from my host.
[Fri Nov 15 05:50:15.006468 2019] [core:error] [pid 1324242:tid 47401557587712] [client 83.145.185.9:40480] AH00124: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use ‘LimitInternalRecursion’ to increase the limit if necessary. Use ‘LogLevel debug’ to get a backtrace., referer: https://www.lazu.co.nz/es/manuka-infused-coffee/
It was due to increase of the memory limit recently of your hosting account and it looks like there was excessive request for the user lazuco_wp368 to your database, perhaps each click from the Spanish link will give a redundant request to your database.
See the sample error log:
[15-Nov-2019 02:15:39 UTC] PHP Warning: mysqli_real_connect(): (42000/1203): User lazuco_wp368 already has more than ‘max_user_connections’ active connections in /home/lazuco/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1612I would suggest that you to check that plugin perhaps, re-instate with the latest version of it.
I noticed that if I leave the page for a while the link worked. Not sure if this is importanat.
Thankyou again

Thank you for your reply and the information that you have provided with us.We have followed your instructions and indeed, it works on Twenty Nineteen theme but when I tried to enable the flatsome plugin, it work as well. I have remained disable the child theme flatsome-child because when I enabled the website will throw an error 500.
See the sample screenshot:
https://prnt.sc/px5mc2Perhaps, there was compatibility issue with the child theme and the plugin.
Then we checked and the website looked all wrong and the links didn’t work anyway. So I asked them to put it back as it was. The link error 500 still there.

I have reverted back the changes and the website display back as it was before.[lazuco@r118 public_html]$ wp theme list

| flatsome-child | active | none | 3.0 |
| flatsome | parent | none | 3.5.2 |
| twentynineteen | inactive | none | 1.4 |
+—————-+———-+——–+———+There was compatibility issue with your current theme and the translatepress-multilingual plugin. Kindly cross check this plugin and check the compatibility.
I have now asked them to look at the PHP error logs.
It seems that all the spanish links do not work. It works for the first page you select in Spanish then no links work from that page. Thanks
Richard
