In reply to: .GIFs no longer resize to thumbnail after upgradeThanks for the reply! I haven’t found an answer either. Thought it might be a problem with wp-ecommerce but it’s not only product images, it’s any larger gif Thought it might be a time out error, but increasing memory limit and regenerating thumbs didn’t fix it. Frustrating!

In reply to: .GIFs no longer resize to thumbnail after upgradeDid you ever find an answer? Having a similar issue with wp-ecommerce product images. jpg works fine, but gif images do not generate thumbnails. Also using Eventbrite and all gif event images are now broken. It was all good prior to updating.
I changed jquery to “Supported by WordPress” in plugin settings and that seems to have fixed it for me.
That’s odd. It should be the second tab, immediately to the left of “General”

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] [Plugin: WP e-Commerce] Different price for different quantityHi,
If you are selling fixed quantity options you could handle that with variations.
To my knowledge there is no plugin that provides dynamic pricing.
If anyone knows how to achieve dynamic pricing based on quantity ordered per product I’d love to know how to do it.
If someone can figure out how to automatically apply coupons that might work as well.Hi,
You may have already figured out how to do this, but for benefit of anyone else that might be looking.
You create product categories separately from regular wordpress categories, it’s in the left menu under Products. When adding or editing a product you should have a “Product Categories” selection box in the right column. If not, open screen option and check the categories option.
You can assign product to one or multiple categories, you can also nest your categories into sub and sub-sub categories. As for sorting your products in a particular order – you can control this somewhat within the store settings under the Presentation tab. In the lower portion of that screen you will find a Sort Product by: and two drop downs.
Drag&Drop is supposed to allow you to do just that and put your products in any order you want, but in my experience that option still has some problems in the latest version of wpec.Good luck!

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] [Plugin: WP e-Commerce] The 4 BIGGEST Things Wrong With WPEC!We’ve been using WPEC for a couple years on a very simple store and I can completely agree with your assessment. Support is virtually non-existent and the forums are filled with unanswered please for help.
We recently, and very reluctantly, agreed to use WPEC for a client only because this project needs the variation sets and shipping options that are not yet available with other plugins. We agreed to do this only if the $195 premium developer upgrade was purchased, thinking this would save us hours of hair pulling to get this thing to work as expected. Over 2 days and still no response to premium support questions.
I too have strange issues with getshopped.org Search functionality is a joke. Excerpts of support topics are totally useless if they aren’t linked to the full topic.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] [Plugin: The Events Calendar] Cannot see commentsHi,
I’m having this same problem with a custom buddypress theme. Tried adding the filter to functions.php, but no help.
A little de-bugging – it looks like the single event is using the page.php template file instead of the custom event/single.php
I have a custom single.php within event directory in theme files.
Perhaps because this is a child theme? Have had other issues with custom page templates not finding correct page templates within the child theme. Usually able to fix this by using STYLESHEETPATH rather than TEMPLATEPATH, but I don’t really want to go mucking around in the core plugin files.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Custom Profile TemplateI just discovered a plugin that accomplishes this very well.
Theme My Login
Worked perfectly for me out of the box with a few minor css tweaks. It does not allow filtering of profile sections, but it does update my custom profile fields which is more important for me.Wish I had found this before I spent more hours than I want to think about googling for answers!

In reply to: Custom Profile TemplateI have been searching for hours trying to figure out how to do exactly the same thing. My original thought was to include user-edit.php in a template file, but I am not getting that to work.
did you ever figure out how to get to post back and update?
I have found some methods to modify user-edit.php that require modification of core files, but that is obviously not optimal.
I have to agree that easier customization of profile forms could be better.

In reply to: Will Register Plus and / or Wishlist do this?Hi,
Just bought Wishist member and discovering that registration customization is much more difficult than anticipated. I’m within my the 30 day money back period, but really need to get this done for a client. Tried wp-member, not happy there at all. WLM does provide importing/exporting users ( a big deal for this site) but we really need to collect custom info at registration and ideally export that data.
As mentioned above, Register Plus is one piece, but not having much luck pulling the two together. Did anyone find a way to accomplish this?Forum: Themes and Templates
