In reply to: How to remove date of page in search resultsThanks for the info Dave Naylor. This was all set up by someone else and I inherited the project. They didn’t leave any info behind so I’m slowly finding these things out.

In reply to: Can't upload/edit pages or media on my siteSeems like the problem lies with my theme, Blue Diamond.
What is the next step in fixing this?

In reply to: Can't upload/edit pages or media on my siteWhoa there…..
I do take offense to that. I stated before: I’m new to this and have very little knowledge of WordPress.I just started at this job and was thrown this project that another person, who no longer works with the company, started. I’ve never used WordPress in my life! She didn’t leave ANY information about the site behind. She will not return phone calls or emails. I just found out that another company is hosting the site, but no one has the login information to get to the “C-panel”.
I’m doing my best and have read countless forums on this topic, but most date back 1-5 years.
This is not “my” site and the FTP accounts that I do have access to show no trace of the site that is giving me trouble.

In reply to: Can't upload/edit pages or media on my siteI did deactivate all of my plugins and the problem still exists.
I switched to the default theme and the problem still exists.
As for the next few steps, I have no clue what you are talking about. I’m new to all of this and the site I’m working on was built by someone else. I know for sure that it’s not connected to FTP.
How do I re-upload all the files if I don’t know where they are. I downloaded WordPress to my computer, and I was able to locate the wp-config-sample.php file, but I don’t know where to go from there.

In reply to: Existing (hidden site) Login TroubleOkay thank you for your help.
We don’t have a true IT department here and the one person who handles the server was never made aware of the site.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Existing (hidden site) Login TroubleNo, not at all. Previously, it would open up only in Google Chrome, no other browser, on my computer and none of the other computers on our server could access it. I don’t know enough about servers or networks, but the only thing we could think of is that Chrome had that site saved in its history so it allowed access to the WP admin area.

In reply to: Existing (hidden site) Login TroubleI’m not 100% sure, and of course the person who worked on it previously did not tell anyone, but from what I know it was hosted on our company’s server.
Is there a way to tell?
