In reply to: [Ad Blocking Detector] Does it work for Disconnect ?Hi John and thank you for the response.
I gather when you say you’re doubting that “Disconnect was the cause”
that you’re referring to my mention of having seen your plugin work against it at some point? So then, can I say that it’s likely your plugin Doesn’t work against Disconnect?

In reply to: [Better WordPress Minify] Not working with MultiSite InstallationBTW, I just realized a conflict of some sort between BWP Minify and WooCommerce in that it breaks my theme a slight bit.
Disabling the following seems to fix the problem: ”Minify JS files automatically?”Mind you, this is All After the fact of discovering the afore-mentioned problem concerning the ranking through Pingdom Tools. It’s only today that I’ve ventured towards trying out WooCommerce.
Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks again ??

In reply to: [Better WordPress Minify] Not working with MultiSite InstallationHi and thanks for the reply.
I just sent you the website URL through online contact form you provided me.
Excellent!
Thank you Robert and consider the well deserved review already posted. ??
BTW, please forgive me, I might’ve posted this in the wrong Leaflet Maps Marker forum group.

In reply to: Problem with automatic updating plugins although WP says it has.Okay, I finally got through to my host after spotting some online references to the following:
chown -R apache:apache
chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www
Not that it meant anything to me at the time. But my host was quick to jump to my rescue.
They also pointed me to some links to educate myself a little on the subject. One of which is:
https://boomshadow.net/tech/php-handlers/
Seeing’s how the problem’s been raised online so often with little to no solution(s)…I hope this helps someone else. ??

In reply to: Problem with automatic updating plugins although WP says it has.Mind you, I’ve seen this problem posted previously. Back then some solutions were:
– to change the permissions,
– another suggested a cache problem at the host
– clearing browser cache
– checking on the tables (repair and more) within PHP adminI’ve played with the permission and cleared the browser cache repeatedly but to no avail.
As for a cache problem at the host, all my domains are under the same host. I somehow doubt that’s the problem since the problem exists at only one domain.
Going into PHP admin and looking for problems there revealed little.

In reply to: Text not wrapping around images with captionsI believe I’ve found the problem…or rather the source. Turned out these problems were part of a bigger mess of phantom behaviors not just on that site but as well on my other sites within my server.
Took to purchasing a smaller package hosting deal this evening just to test it out…and well, huge difference. Not merely in how well everything worked as they should…but the speed was amazing. Not that it was that slow previously, but jeez!
So again thanks for your attempts at helping me alchymyth.

In reply to: Text not wrapping around images with captionsWell, thanks anyway.
But yes, as I initially mentioned, I’ve never had an issue with this sort of thing.

In reply to: Text not wrapping around images with captionsLOL, you might have looked whilst I changed it at one point.
I just reset it to align left.

In reply to: Text not wrapping around images with captionsThanks for responding alchymyth,
yeah, I’d looked at that page earlier. Will check.
It’s the Mantra Theme.
Here’s one page:
Many thanks for the response.
Currently working towards changing to another plan within my host’s offerings.
Will bring up all necessary questions prior to the move (whenever that is). ??
No, that I know.
I was referring to changes in, Let’s say, the Header.php
What if there were important changes to sections which I’d overwritten using the Child Theme? Then It’d be on me to keep track of those changes?
Thanks for the quick reply Andrew.
So it’s as I mentioned above? Copying the header.php completely to my Child Theme Directory and making edits there.
BUT, if future updates entail edits to the Header.php then I guess it’s on me and my notes to keep track of what I’ve done?…or am I misunderstanding the concept a bit?
