In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] Not compatible with GutenbergHello,
We’re unable to reproduce the issue with ingredients and directions being written into the database in multiple locations.
If you have already confirmed that this is not a plugin conflict, could you share more information about where you are finding that the database is being written to multiple times for Simmer items?
The current version of Simmer is compatible with Gutenberg. We are also actively developing new recipe blocks for Simmer Pro, available at https://simmerwp.com.
Thank you!

In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] OG:Description problem with links to Facebook.Thank you for your comment.
Please note that for most WordPress theme and plugin combinations, this bug does not exist. The bug reported here is due to a 3rd-party conflict with the theme or another plugin.
To recreate this, please re-scrape your recipe through the Facebook tool with a default theme enabled. If this does not solve the issue, please de-active plugins one-by-one to isolate and find the conflicting plugin.
To further test, please try using Simmer recipes from other websites in the Sharing Debugger. You will find that other examples of single and embedded recipes do not add the extra markup to the Facebook title. I can post further examples of recipes to show how this conflict doesn’t affect those sites.
We also do not advise changing any of the core plugin files, as this can damage your site when you update to future versions or when updating plugins, code or themes related to Simmer. If you would like to extend the functionality of Simmer, we support a variety of custom hooks, filters and endpoints that you can use for development of a new extension plugin.
Thanks again!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] HTTP 500 ErrorHi @rbennet,
I noticed you were able to eliminate the issue by removing the Yoast plugin when running Simmer on your website. This error is caused only when saving WordPress content with a shortcode. To run your site without this error, deactivate the Yoast SEO plugin.
The Pro version of the Simmer plugin includes a patch to fix this conflict. The Limited version of the plugin will be released with this same patch in 2018.
Kind regards,

In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] Simmer Printing IssuesHi RBennet,
These print issues are caused by your active WordPress theme, not this plugin. To troubleshoot issues in your front-end code that might be affecting the print layout of recipes, please try activating a default WordPress theme to compare.
Thank you,

In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] Call to undefined function simmer_get_template_part()Hi Vishna,
This error is caused by a plugin conflict created by Yoast.
A future version will patch this error and remove the conflict with this 3rd party plugin.
Thank you,

In reply to: All Themes files are missing. Autodelete of theme files. This sounds like potential malware or another security issue with your server.
Contacting your hosting provider about the issue directly is the best way to find a solution.
If your website hosting provider cannot provide you with any type of emergency backup or other backup, then unfortunately there are no choices.
It is absolutely essential that any investment in customizing a website with code or other work in WordPress be backed-up consistently. It’s also important to regularly check that those backups can be successfully restored.

In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] Minutes abbreviation in “min” not “m”Hello,
This plugin uses the abbreviation “m” for minutes, not “min.” Hours is abbreviated to “h.”
Thank you for your suggestion, but the time labels will not be edited in this plugin. A future version of https://pro.simmerwp.com will enable custom labeling for units of time, however.

In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] Recipe won’t insert into postHello!
I wanted to share an update that these conflicts have been fixed as of Simmer Pro 0.5 released last year, and Simmer Pro 1.1 is the most recent release of this plugin to include them.
Simmer Pro adds nutrition content and other developer extendability to recipes by Simmer.
https://simmerwp.com
https://pro.simmerwp.comThere are a few other 3rd party plugin and theme conflicts that we have additionally included, including for Avada (the #1 paid ThemeForest WordPress theme) and a few other popular plugins.
Thank you!
