In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] Buddypress ErrorHi Jeffrey!
We just had a new pull request that should fix the BuddyPress compatibility issue. It’s on our development branch on Github, which you can download in a .zip file to use a test-able version of our plugin here: https://github.com/simmerwp/simmer/archive/development.zip
We’re going to test this version of the plugin to make sure there aren’t any other issues, and I’ll update things here when we’re ready to merge this development version into production and our live version accessible via WP.org.
Thanks!!

In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] Buddypress ErrorHi Jeffrey! Thanks very much for recording and monitoring this bug with BuddyPress.
I’m recording all of your notes thus far in a new issue on our open source Github repo. We can then work with the exact lines you referenced in multiple pull requests (PRs) to see what we need to do to get this error out of the way and all functionality working on BuddyPress with Simmer for Recipes.
Here’s the Issue on Github: https://github.com/simmerwp/simmer/issues/97
Feel free to add comments to the Issue above, and I’ll check back here soon as well.
Cheers,

In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] Translating Simmer into different langaugesKaushal,
Yes, and thank you so much for your interest. You can find a bit about this process on a blog post we just published yesterday: https://simmerwp.com/blog/new-languages/
Our .pot file and other .po and .mo files can be found here at our Github repo: https://github.com/simmerwp/simmer/tree/master/languages
https://github.com/simmerwp/simmer/blob/master/languages/simmer.pot Use this .pot file as the template for any localization you’d like to create.
This chapter in the plugin handbook is also very helpful for those looking to learn more about localizing plugins in any locale: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/plugins/internationalization/localization/
Thanks very much! Please feel free to message our team at anytime with any questions: [email protected]
Cheers,
LaraThanks again, Leukdat!

In reply to: [Recipes by Simmer] Does this plugin offer rich snippets?Hi Barefoot Bookworm,
Simmer definitely provides all of the necessary rich snippet markup required in the code. You can find a lot more information about this on our front page at https://simmerwp.com/#feature-list. You can also take a peek at this by viewing this source code on our demo’s recipe for guacamole, too. Thanks so much for your feedback! We’re going to be highlighting this aspect a bit further here on the repository page, the FAQ, and elsewhere.
Cheers,
LaraHi Leukedat!
Fantastic; we’re very glad you’d like to work on translation/localization. We are just launching this month, but adding additional language support is number 1 on our list following launch.
You can find our brief article on localization in our Codex here: https://simmer.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203975125
Let me know what language you had in mind first, and we’ll keep it at the top of our list if it isn’t already.
Cheers,

Could you help us by providing a few more details about the error you’re experiencing? For example, do you have a screenshot, exact web address, or location of the error?
Thanks so much!

In reply to: How to include a period on permalink? Yoast signalsHi Marius — I’m not sure why just “Petersburg” wouldn’t be included in the title, but the more important thing is that the Yoast signals do not really matter. They’re just a gauge, and thankfully Google is much much “smarter” than Yoast as they’re the authors of the algorithm. I’d let this one slide. We do this (let it slide) often as well.
