In reply to: create pdf librarySeacoast — I don’t know why anyone would have content on a website that wasn’t searchable per the latest in best practices for content marketing. I’m not sure what you mean by “href for search” either…

In reply to: create pdf libraryAhhh I see ??
I’d suggest using the great default template for WordPress. It’s very customizable, and you might not have trouble installing this plugin yourself to see if it helps with search: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/search-everything/

In reply to: create pdf libraryWordPresssos — see my comment above.
Also, this plugin might help you in making your .pdsfs searchable after you upload them.
It sounds like you might want to work with a professional who would take care of this for you.

In reply to: create pdf librarySeacoast — would this actually make the entire text of the .pdf searchable, though?

In reply to: How to make blank pages?Great example, alchymyth.
Tylerpilot: this option will give you an absolutely blank template. In most browsers this means you’ll just have basic 12pt size Times New Roman text and nothing else.

In reply to: Menu troubles…Hi there —
You have some seriously whacky things going on with the CSS here. First, users who do not move their cursor quickly enough can’t keep the menu open. I’d suggest “placing” the menu closer to the original link.
Second, the design company you hired may have used an in-house theme base or an external theme. Unfortunately, the answer to this doesn’t really matter as you have some issues going on with your menu code here. It’s likely that they used a library of some sort or basic code “plugin” and then this code was later botched. You could try going back to an older version.
Unfortunately it sounds like you’ll need a professional to get in there to take a look. (2nd unfortunate fact: your company doesn’t sound like professionals if they can’t fix this ??

In reply to: create pdf libraryHi there —
Unfortunately there isn’t a very “nice” way to implement this for a user that isn’t advanced.
Is there a specific reason you need the content to be in .pdf form? If it all remained in posts the content would not only be more easily searchable on your website, but greater search engines like Google & Bing as well. This is essential to the success of any website.
Otherwise, I’d suggest uploading the .pdf files as you would an image (use the upload tool at the top of the post edit page) but it’s going to be near impossible for you to make this content searchable.

In reply to: making comments visible to the publicThey might be accidentally turned off on a per post basis. Make sure the comments section on your post edit screen allows it.

In reply to: Error 500! Internal Server Error! Help!!!You’re definitely going to need the password to login. It’s a quick fix, however. Just go to your themes directory and delete the folder for the new theme.
Could you try doing a password reset from your host? I’m sure if you gave them a call they would be able to help you out.
Same problem!

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Publish to fan page setting DisabledBlack Lion, I’m not sure what you’re talking about mostly because your language use doesn’t make any sense and sounds a little needlessly aggressive.
1.0.3 fixed this issue just fine for me. Maybe you haven’t setup the app correctly in Facebook.

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Publish to fan page setting DisabledYes, 1.0.3 did the trick for us. It can be found in multiple instances in this post.

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Publish to fan page setting DisabledWe’re experiencing this issue as well. Just uploaded the 1.0.3 test version and waiting to see results. Re-published latest post and was successfully posted to FB page timeline regardless of an odd error message, but don’t have high hopes. Will check back in a day.
