In reply to: [Genesis 404 Page] Abandoned plugin?Good to know! Thanks for bumping it up, as I’m using it in all my clients’ sites. Thanks guys!
LynnI have refreshed the page to no avail in the past. This is happening on more than one computer. Nothing in the php error log now on one computer, and GADforWP dashboard is showing correctly this morning.
I’ll keep checking it to see what I can find in the php error log when I get the error upon viewing GADforWP.
Thx!https://www.gstatic.com/charts/loader.js
https://d3dy5gmtp8yhk7.cloudfront.net/1.11/pusher.min.js?ver=1.5.8Those are the only 2 not coming from the domain.
This is the page source when I’m looking at the dashboard of the site showing GADforWP. In this case, I was not getting the error: GADforWP was showing the data just fine.
Thanks Alin

I’m also having this error, off and on for the last few weeks. It’s not consistent, comes and goes, so turning plugins on & off may not be a reliable test. Never had it on any site before (I use GAD on 20 sites, and have for several years). None of the plugins mentioned in other threads on this topic (1-2 years ago) are on the sites with this error. So new conflict of GAD with another plugin or what?
Thank you for your help, Alin!Any word on this. I’m unable to get it to work either.
Thanks, Cart66 for responding…!Thanks, Paul, I just saw your response, thank you.
I think I wasn’t clear. The human spam feature in the plugin just started making these false positives around the end of Dec. That’s why I sent you a note. And it’s making them on PARTS of words or lack of spacing, which is a common typo.
(those listed above), and, among others:
oy
!!!
I was able to search through 1400 spam comments with the keyword “pending” to find them without checking each one. We’re happy with option 2) that you listed, just having the filter put them in the approval area instead of the spam area. But I thought you’d want to know as this is a recent change in the filter’s behavior and may not be ideal.
Thank you!
LynnRobin,
I think that did the trick! I wish I’d asked earlier; I would have saved a few days of trial-and-error!Interesting that your FAQ says this is an “odd request.” The feed for RSS readers should be full-length, but this particular blog has 4-6 three-page posts each week, so if I left the mailchimp email to full-length posts, it would be a huge email to wade through.
And when I set the mailchimp RSS email to CONTENT instead of CONTENT_FULL, the images would not show at all. NOW, the images and excerpts show because of your plugin and that snippet of code in the functions file.
Thanks!
Whew, thanks, Alin! I never would have figured that out on my own. Same thing was happening on one of my client’s sites.
Thanks, Paul!
Great that your plugin caught this and I was able to update the PHP version on my client’s hosting before something went wrong and I then struggled to figure out what was wrong.Interesting, though, the client is on godaddy, and the tech support person reported that, “oh he’s on an old hosting plan that only runs PHP up to 5.4. And the current plan is $140/yr.; the new upgraded plan would be $70/yr.”
Naturally, I said, “so let’s upgrade it.” He responded with, “right now?!” Turns out that I would have to purchase the new plan, MIGRATE the site, and then delete the old plan. However, they will refund the unused portion of the old plan.
Is it that way for all hosting, where in order to upgrade to the latest server software, one often has to migrate the website?

In reply to: [Lightbox & Modal Popup WordPress Plugin - FooBox] Caption is displayed twiceI’m having a similar problem:
On this page
https://suzilewis.com/photos/
All of these images have text added to only their caption fields in the wordpress gallery. (the title fields are default filename, but do not display).
Some of the images have the caption showing only once. Some, the caption shows twice, larger above, smaller below.
Firebug shows the class on the first instance to be fbx-caption-title and the second is fbx-caption-desc.
There is no text entered into the description fields of any of these images. Why is it showing once on some and twice on others? How do I fix this? You make a subtle critical point:
If one uses a field label with a space, the field will not work. It needs to be #_ATT{Field_Label} or for example, #_ATT{contact_email} (I don’t know if caps make a difference or not, but I used all lowercase and it works)
Note that the documentation page in events manager for this feature is not correct:
https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/event-attributes/
shows the example as #_ATT{Field Label}, which has a space and will not work… that took me hours to figure out, finally, with your subtle clue, Angelo, thanks! Thanks for replying… So, when I change a template, that means I have to remember to make that change in the template every time I upgrade the plugin, is that correct?
So, with that hint (which applies to both the entry field and the submit button instead of one or the other), I’ve been able to override the CSS in my theme’s custom.css (which overrides all css) file for the whole form using these class selectors:
.em-events-search-text for the search term entry field
.em-events-search-submit for the buttonBUT, when I change the “text search label” in the EM settings, it still puts whatever I type in into BOTH the text entry and the button labels. Any clues for that? Thanks, again.
