Using desc=”” in the shortcode works, but not if there is html in there as well.

Please fix it so we can use a href=”” etc in the shortcode.

Or provide an example on how it can be used currently.

As if I hadn’t looked already, or was able to find something that would help me. Far easier (and faster) to do that than wait for direct help. No offense meant, just the way it is with such things.

Just because you cannot reproduce the issue doesn’t mean it’s not happening. It is still an issue! I have to find Twitter posts and manually enter them.

No, the site loading Flare version still sucks. It’s buggy as hell, you cannot arrange the icons in the order you want, you cannot stop them from showing on category pages or the index of blog posts. There’s too many reasons NOT to use the version you are pushing.

I’d have invested by pre-purchasing the pro version, but there’s too much stuff you have to work out to make it worth my while.

I am also having the same problem. The image does not show when I upload and save it in the user profile (admin). All it will show is the Gravatar logo. Regardless of whether I change that gravatar image (I tried that too).

I have this running fine on other sites but have not uploaded/edited any user profiles since 3.8 update.

I’m so disappointed. I liked the plugin exactly the way it was. I preferred it over all others. Now it’s going to be clunky and bloated like Shareaholic and the others.

Honestly, I did try disabling it while the plugin was installed. No change.

I have decided to go with the WP plugin “Flare” instead.

Issues seem to be resolved? I dont know what the heck I did, but the hashtag string seems to have disappeared. Here’s hoping it stays gone!

And no, I did not have it in custom code anywhere. Yes, I had cleared the WP super cache too.

Kindly explain to me why AFTER I’ve uninstalled and deleted the plugin I am still seeing this appended string on my site?

I have cleared the site cache as well as my browser cache and yet I still see this appended string. I am MORE than a little upset about not being able to get rid of it.

I resolved it myself. good thing too, if one has to wait a week for support.

THIS would be why I will not use plugins that don’t offer the option to turn of said annoying advertising. WordPress rules or not. If you MUST, put the annoying ads in the admin backend where only the site owner has to suffer through them.

Though that, I understand, is also against the rules? Even so, I see plenty of it recently.

Really good (and useful to me) plugins, I will gladly pay for. Or even pay for a copyright-like link to be removed. If the plugin is really good, but has these annoying ads or obligatory copyright BS, I will just go find someone to make one for me just like it. Less the annoying ads (or whatever bloated crap they stuffed in).

Finally, I avoid Zemanta like the plague. It is one of the most insidious advertising platforms I can think of. Worse, I found it slows your site down (been a while since I tried it). So take note of that! These 3rd party ad type plugins spend time loading and loading, thus slowing your site down. Which defeats the purpose. People will just leave and never see the Zemanta ads anyway.

Oh, and by the way, if it was “that easy” to make money off ads on your site, we’d all be rich. Oops! That’s not so common is it? Seems to me that some real effort and work is involved to do that. A silly little ad plugin (alone) just won’t make it happen lol.
