As you want to replace the existing WP site, the easiest way is to use the All In One WP Migration plugin:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/
Just last night I used it to replace a client’s current live site with the version that was on my staging server.
Cheers!
LyleHi yehudah,
Unfortunately, it is still scrolling too far.
Here is a bit more detailed description that you could try to see what I mean:
– on a new page, insert your Homepage – Restaurant template
– add a Menu Anchor to the Our Sweets Collection section; the highest one can place it is above the Our Sweets Collection Heading module
– add a button above the Coffee & More logo at the top of the page and set it to scroll to that menu anchor
– for me, it scrolls to the top of the Our Sweets Collection text, or about 90px too far.Cheers!
LyleThanks yehudah, but it is more than the admin bar that it is off; more like 100 px. I will do some more experimenting and get back ??

In reply to: [Loco Translate] It used to be so nice and simple, but now …Hi Tim,
Thanks for the link to the beginners guide ??
Sorry for sounding so abrupt, but I was really quite confused when I installed the latest version on a test site.
To clarify, I am not a beginner at WP as I have been at it for over 6 years and have built and installed literally 100s of sites. I have also created numerous training tutorials and videos on snifflevalve.com and was going to do one on your plugin ??
I am not saying this to “brag” but only to say that having been in the PC biz since 1980, when one does a radical change in a product, users experienced with that product in it’s previous form will be confused. Windows 8? LOL ??
Cheers!

Phew! ??
Kindly disregard ??
I achieved what I wanted and more by using Memberships ??

In reply to: [WP Show Posts] Conflict with Lifter LMS My Courses pageSorry Tom, spoke too soon as I have been working on this site all night! LOL ??
Yes, it is a WP Show Posts issue. I deactivated the plugin and 2016 shows it correctly.

In reply to: [WP Show Posts] Conflict with Lifter LMS My Courses pageActually Tom, upon further investigation, this issue is not related to the theme as the same issue is present with TwentySixteen ??
I will put in a question to the Lifter folks.
Thank you for taking a look though ??
Cheers!

In reply to: [WP Show Posts] Conflict with Lifter LMS My Courses pageHi Tom,
It is only apparent when you are not logged in and and go to either log in or sign up.

LyleI was just about to post a topic about using shortcodes from other plugins within Elementor. Not sure if this pertains to the OP’s initial concern, but figured this is as good of a place as any to mention it.
What I have found is that when placing shortcodes, they should be put into a WordPress Text widget and NOT an Elementor Text Element.
I was trying to use the shortcode for WP Show Posts and it would work initially when placed. However, when one tried to go back into editing the page with Elementor, I would get the dreaded “Content not found” warning.
Placing this shortcode in a WP Text widget cured this issue ??
Cheers!

I hope that you do realize that every time you shut down MAMP, whether by doing so from the MAMP Control Panel or by shutting down your computer, that you have to explicitly re-start MAMP again in order to work on your site locally.
Does the MAMP icon appear in your Dock as running? If not, then you have to start it again. Applications/MAMP and select the MAMP icon. Once the MAMP app starts, you HAVE TO select Start Servers and wait until both check marks show that the servers (Apache and MySQL) have started. THEN, and ONLY THEN, can you start working on your local WordPress, in your case

for the “Front End” andhttps://localhost:8888/southeastweddingcars/wp-admin
to log into the “Dashboard” ??Cheers!
