In reply to: [Advanced Custom Fields (ACF?)] Complicated, poor instructionsThere’s plenty of other resources online, youtube for example has hundreds if not thousands of different demonstrations for all levels.
Whilst you can use this without any prior knowledge for the basics, customising queries etc will make sense with some prior php knowledge. This is one of the best plugins for WordPress and the documentation and community is excellent, there are learning curves for everybody.
It’s frustrating to see these kind of reviews when it’s down to the person not the plugin.
Learn some basic php, you could grasp a wealth of simple php in a short time that will have you working with www.ads-software.com in a whole new perspective. I’ve been there bud, I wish I’d of got stuck into php & javascript at the beginning it woulod have saved lots of time.

In reply to: [Simple Image Sizes] medium_large size showing twiceHi Roger, there’s not much to go on there, I’d present data from your log files if you haven’t identified anything whilst debugging?

In reply to: WordPress Mulitisite Website Subscription ServiceHi Jan,
Thanks for taking the time to give your feedback.
My objective is to create a theme, and run multiple instances of it using all the same resources, just allowing the user to change the content and images etc for all the duplicated instances of the vanilla template.
I was thinking more so on how new sites could be created by the user using a front end shop front to subscribe, automating the manual steps required. Is there a solution out there already for this functionality, maybe I shouldn’t have referenced Wix, WordPress.com would be more appropriate as an example, I believe this was/is an example of WordPress multi-site. Heavily developed I can appreciate, but similar to what I want to achieve.
Thanks again =)

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Not easy to useHey Vinyl. Respect for getting back into the post and backing your opinion.
I love exploring the code, often finding additional functionality not specified in the docs or front end admin.
Take a moment, see what’s going on, hell, maybe do some actual development.
If you can contribute to making the plugin better for all you might get direct support from the developer to help you diagnose the problem…
Installing plugins and using shortcodes is not something you can grade with level. It’s not web design, it’s not web development.
If you do not understand the mechanics, then how can you sabotage someone’s work they have released for other to develop further, modify or as in most cases save 40+ hours of development & testing with a few clicks.
That’s my view and a little insight to why I get frustrated and feel it necessary for the reviewer to be aware and re assure the developer his contribution to the open source community is appreciated. I’d be so &&&&&& off lol =)

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Not easy to useI could have written that more clearly. I was just expressing my frustration with what I believe is an unjustified negative review left by Vinyl Roads. Who has demonstrated that they do not even understand the absolute basic administrative processes yet feels comfortable leaving such a comment and review.
I’ll remove my comments.

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Not easy to useThere should be a test for .org new comers to gain access to plugins and being allowed to leave reviews, something like. How would you upload an audio using the WP Admin… failing that redirect them to wp.com, or read the manual. lol, really bugs me.

In reply to: [MP3-jPlayer] Not easy to use@simon I’ve spent the last three weeks purchasing and testing players from envato… I just wish I’d come across this sooner I would be a couple of $$$ better off.
Better quality – UX + than most I’d pay for. It pains to read reviews left like the above…
Cheers
