Hi thanks for getting back, you nudged me in the right direction.

WordPress has the the_excerpt function which strips and replaces html inside the excerpt.

Restrict Content plugin uses rcp_excerpt_ function inside its /core/includes/misc-functions.php which does the same thing.

So it was the Restrict Content plugin.

However, by adding the tag that was being stripped to this line 291:

rcp_excerpt_by_id( $post, $length = 50, $tags = '<pre><a><em><strong><blockquote><ul><ol><li><p>'

i was able to display the excerpt as i wanted it.

This is however not ideal, so i will try to add it via a function snippet in the child function file. Im not a developer so if you know how i can do this that would be of great help.

Its ok, after reading through the support forum and docs it appears using the [restrict] shortcode on its own without attributes does not work. So you can close this.

Thanks for the reply, just to say i am a huge fan of your free kadence blocks plugin, i have tried them all, yours is the best. The main reason was i wanted to add a lightbox to a couple of single images which were aligned left and right. I tried a few work arounds using kadence rows but just cant quite get the same result. All the other lightbox plugins affect my woocommerce product thumbs and are not styled as nice as yours. Never mind, its all about compromise when your on a budget. Thanks for the reply seank123 but i don’t think that quite answers the problem. This is a new change as i was always able to upload all the category’s as stated in my above post. Its awkward as i have stated as i sell products that don’t always relate to each others Main category but do relate to Sub category’s of other Main category’s. So in effect what i have to do now is add them manually. This means more work.

Actually, the feature to resize the Main image width of the Product page is not available if you are using only the Astra free theme.

Hi Herman thanks for the reply i may have to get back to you again in the future as i am still testing.

However i am not sure of your answer. I also work with another theme and if i change the width of the main image as so:

Customising > Woocommerce > Product Images > Main image width

then the main image on the single product page also changes.

Hi if there is no option to change the width of the Main image width of the single product pages, then what does the option Under Customising > Woocommerce > Product Images > Main image width, do.

I too have been trying to adjust the image width of the single product page main image but it does not work?

Hi, the plugin is very good but i have this same issue. The boxes all seem to be a set height, which means the excerpt carry’s on hidden all the way down to the Read more link.

Is there a fix for this please.

I found it.

So for anyone else who wants to upload the Rank Math SEO description (ie meta description) via csv, the column header is meta:rank_math_description This worked for me.

Hi again i see you call it the SEO description. So do you have a column header which will upload the SEO Description.

Hi, thanks for replying. Maybe you might consider mentioning this via one of your channels to WordPress as a future feature for all themes. I would certainly like to see it implemented.

I like the Astra Theme and have found it quite easy to customise and it has some good features.

Hi thanks for the link, but can you be clear in saying there is no way of switching of the front-end styles inside the Gutenberg editor via Astra.

If so, i think it would be a good idea to suggest a default style for Gutenberg editor and then make this a feature for the customer to be able to switch on or off if they want. I personally like a blank editor in Gutenberg.

However my work around is just to style everything in the child CSS and set the background and text colours in the Astra customiser so they reflect in the editor.

You see i have a dark website witch makes the Gutenberg controls on the page hard to see. This would also help those who might be visually impaired to some degree.

On a side note i have been trying NavXT as a replacement. It has an add on called Order Bender which creates a meta box in the editor for you to choose the primary category. Without the add on NavXT returns the same results i am getting with Yoast however with the category chosen via Order Bender then i get the correct result.

Hi, it appears not to have made any difference. As i mentioned i have set all products to their Primary category but Yoast Breadcrumbs is still picking the order (by what i can see) alphabetically. So if Primary category begins with D but product is also in a category which begins with A then it appears to choose A first (if that makes sense). I hope it does i have put some hours into this.
