    Actually it’s not random….

    I have 5 slides. Each 970×350 pixels.

The height of this gap is equal to the height of 5 slides.

As the page loads, slide one is at the top with a 4x slide height below it.

As it refreshes, there is a 1x slide gap then slide 2 is show with a 3x slide gap below

Then its 2x gap, slide 3 show, 2x gap

    3x gap, slide 4 shown, 1x gap,

    4x gap, slide 5 shown.

Then back to the top again.

Hope that makes sense, any help appreciated.

I got in a right mess with disabling plugins one way or another.

My site seemed to fail randomly and not one particular plugin seemed to cause it.

At one point it looked like Google Analytics, Then Jet Pack, then Scroll Back To Top…

So I deleted the lot and started with a new approach.

Using All-in-one WP Migration plugin I took a backup of my “Working” WordPress managed website.

I then installed WP fresh on my new hosting and installed the all-in-one WP Migration plugin.

After a bit of a while struggling to get the backup to upload (I vave VERY slow upload speeds!) I found an alternative way to get the backup onto the server via FTP (That wasn’t easy either, trying to upload a 34mb backup and it kept cutting out!) But eventually I’m there…

I now have an identical copy of my site and I’m just going through to get this back down to a base template.

But it works and runs at acceptable speeds! YES!

    Thanks guys for your assistance…

OK, so I went through the process of disabling all plugins (through WP-admin as I still had access) and changed the theme to the standard 2014 theme. All loads ok. Changed theme back, fine, went through plugins 1 by 1 and left off “Google analytics” until the end, when I activated that again then I just kept getting 500-internal server error: There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. Now I get this all the time, and I have no access to my dashboard any more.

So, reset plugins via renaming Plugin folder to plugin.hold as suggested. Deactivated all and one by one activated again. This time when jetpack was activated it seemed to make it really slow again.

So back to trying to disable plugin but was taking ages, went to FTP to rename plugin folder and it wouldn’t let me giving “550 access is denied”

I had to go through my FTP access accounts and create a new account with read/write permission to be able to rename through FTP again.

OK, so plugins now active are the following:
    Akismet
    Bamboo Columns
    Blackstudio Tiny MCE Widget
    Duplicate Post
    Fast Secure Contact Form
    Hide Title
    Scroll Back To Top
    Simple Redirect
    Symple Shortcodes
    Wordpress Popular Posts

    And its still slow!
EG, I’m looking at my posts in my dashboard. I click on Plugins and it took 21 seconds to load. 21 second waiting between every mouse click is getting unbearable. In comparison to my Managed wordpress account, that only took 2 seconds.

As for error logs, there doesn’t seem to be any. The go daddy supprt says about navigating to error logs icon to activate it which doesn’t exist in my domain dashboard….

I’m re-creating the same website as whats on my WP managed account which is running fine. So surely this should too using the same theme and plugins etc (actually less plugins)

I can’t find ant .htaccess files anywhere either.

the 500 error only seems to show if it has taken too long to try and load after selecting something. If I refresh and wait it will usually go to where I wanted it to.

W3TC is now installed and set-up as per instructions. It does seem a little better.

    So a little more info…

Hosting is Godaddy Plesk Hosting. (after starting googling I’m seeing lots of godaddy/wordpress issues… but I’ve had my managed account with them and no issues, was happy to stick with godaddy)

Account is registered under domain https://www.marketingpaltd.co.uk

This site is domain https://www.youronlineprofile.co.uk which is hosted in folder name “01” of my account.

    Thanks peeps…

I’m just trying that now Kailash, thanks.

Albeit being VERY slow to save or open anything…

And trying to reload after 500 – internal server errors!

    YAWWWWWNNNNNNN…..

NB…. Thank you very very much! All working and now looks much better on mobile!

Thanks NB… would you mind sending me the required files?
    My email is [email protected]
    Many Thanks!

I have the same issue… not sure how to check if using a cache plugin?

I’ve just found JotForm, a tool that is free for the starter form package and has a WP plugin to use on the page. It seems so easy to use and gives everything I require.

Fixed… whether the right way or not.

    Added to CustomCSS the following…

    #column-content {
    	width: 1100px;
    }
