In reply to: [Incoming Links] List of blocked ReferrersI have the same issue.. many blocked referrers, while there are many legitimate referrers linking to my site.. just normal websites.
I am not sure on what criteria this plugin is blocking things..Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Brainstorming Thread – Make Suggestions here !This being said, I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to have different post with the same url on the same site, that’s against best SEO and UX practices, so I wouldn’t recommend it
Just to be sure, the content of each post is different, but some feed posts are published by the same author, so the link to his/her (external) blog is the same. Is this what you mean by ‘the same url on the same site’? Can I prevent this by using a no follow tag to these external links?
Now I get this message:
Reminder: Deprecated APIs were discontinued on April 20th, 2015. To restore service, update to the replacement API.Google no longer supports OAuth 1.0
You’re being redirected to this article because the application you’re using uses OAuth 1.0, and we only support the newer OAuth 2.0 at this time.
I am not a software developer. What does any of this mean?
OAuth is a security measure that lets you connect your Google account to third-party services (like a contacts manager or social network) without ever entering your Google username and password. It’s great because it’s easy for you and it means third-party applications won’t be able to see your username and password. What can I do to get back to work?
I am a software developer. How should I upgrade my applications?
Please follow our instructions to help you migrate from OAuth 1.0 to OAuth 2.0.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Scanning for ?author= and failed login attemptWell.. hard to understand this is not a security issue.. it should not be possible for anyone to find out the usernames of your site so easily by only adjusting the number of the author.. why not this URL: ?author=username

In reply to: Scanning for ?author= and failed login attemptThank you, so having exactly the same diplay name, nickname and username, is not considered a security issue also?
That’s weird. If I change the sitemap name to sitemap.xmldaf or sitemap.xml.da or anything else I put behind .xml, my sitemap shows up.. That’s why I thought my compressed sitemap was still there…
Do you know why this is happening?
Ok thank you.. I was afraid of that…

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Twitter widget blocked for GooglebotI have the same problem, but there is nothing you can do about it, because this is external content. It’s not blocked by you, but by Twitter itself in their robots.txt

In reply to: [RSS Post Importer] Brainstorming Thread – Make Suggestions here !I have a RSS feed on my site with posts with different content but with the same URL, so a second post with the same URL is not being imported. Am I right?
If that’s the way it works, would it be possible to plan a workaround?
Great plugin btw!
The compressed sitemap was dynamically generated, so it’s not on my ftp server, but I can access the sitemap by typing the url in the address bar…
I disabled “Create Compressed Sitemap”. I thought this would do the trick, but unfortunately not.
