(Meaning after I switched to another theme and then switched back, that’s when the widgets disappeared.)

I switched between two themes, I wonder if that’s what did this? This is a development site where I’m testing themes so the other theme has a different sidebar setup. Could that have done this?

post deleted. I figured it out thanks! Widget settings were still set to clone.

Oh and then I put the php code into the top panel template, but still no dice.

Thank you that did work. But we decided we didn’t like the placement, so I tried putting it in the top panel, which is set up as a page and then top panel is turned on.

I tried putting the short code in there and it didn’t work. Then I tried adding the code from your reply above as well, that didn’t work either. Do you have any suggestions?

FYI I tried logging in as the author to make sure the options weren’t set to send her notifications, and the options tab isn’t even visible to her, so….

I see! So, does this mean the widgets in the alternate sidebar won’t have the simple drag and drop ability of the original sidebar? Or will the alternate sidebar show up on the widgets page too?

Thank goodness I fixed it. After closing down my browser and going back in, I was able to click the screen options button at the top. Why there is even a need to hit “accessibility” is beyond me, but I’m thankful I was able to fix the problem.

I have the same problem. Not using Thesis. Tried deactivating all plugins and then tried, didn’t help. Cannot click on the Screen Options button on the widgets page, but it does work on other pages!

If I try to click the edit button of an active widget, my screen toggles down but nothing happens.

I just upgraded to 2.8.3 and I also have widgets problems. I have 2 sidebars, and none of my sidebar 2 widgets are showing up. I can’t edit any of the widgets in sidebar 1.

I use 8 widgets and it recognizes that. But only 4 are showing up, and they aren’t editable. I can’t drag new widgets at all! This is terrible, help!
