Issue solved by updating the Cloudinary plugin, I was using version 2.0.0.beta and missed the 2.0.3 update that fixed the migration issue.

I made an attempt to copy my client website to my local environnement (Windows with Xampp, production server is php 7.3 while dev environnement is 7.4.3 ) and I got a similar error, see below. I will open a ticket.

Indeed this feature would be really appreciated, it makes sense to store a copy of all assets for the reasons you’ve mentioned but simultaneously the whole purpose of this plugin is to decouple the media assets from the wp backend
