In reply to: [Spammer Blocker] [Plugin: Spammer Blocker] Page not foundSorry, I cannot help you with that. I do not use BP so I don’t really know why it does not work. I am also a little bit busy so I have no time to investigate.

In reply to: [Spammer Blocker] [Plugin: Spammer Blocker] IP's not getting addedIt is not added immediately but there is a cron that duplicates IP addresses to a special MySQL table. You can allow it on the settings page (Automatic IP address duplication).

In reply to: [Spammer Blocker] [Plugin: Spammer Blocker] Not sure how this worksThe file should be located here: wp-content/plugins/spammer-blocker/
You can retrieve the backup by clicking the “Make a backup” button. After that a message with a link pops up and you can either save the file directly or open it in your MS Excel.
You can use it to import lots of IP addresses (you can avoid typing them manually in the form on the plugin’s settings page by using this file).
Also remember that the plugin automatically bans all authors of comments marked as spam when it is activated; it is also able to do it up to twice a day automatically.
I hope that this plugin will work well for you. If you have any questions/problems don’t hesitate to contact me.
(PS: Sorry for my broken English in the previous post, I reedited it badly before sending and now I cannot change it.)

In reply to: [Spammer Blocker] [Plugin: Spammer Blocker] Not sure how this worksThe latest version of the plugin can import IP addresses automatically via WP cron.
When you create a backup it is saved to its to the folder where is are the plugin files located. There should appear a link to the backup every time you make one.

In reply to: [Spammer Blocker] [Plugin: Spammer Blocker] Blocks everyoneHello, that’s weird, because it works fine for me and other people. I tested the plugin before releasing the newest version quite properly, so I do not know what might be wrong with it.
It is possible that people who cannot comment are using a banned IP.
Can you comment as an admin? Did you try another IP for commenting as a regular user?If you have problems with commenting, it would be really helpful if you could kindly let me test the behaviour of the plugin on your site in order to remove any potential bugs.
Thanks for answering.

In reply to: [Spammer Blocker] [Plugin: Spammer Blocker] broken spam guard!Hello, it is possible that if you use a shared IP address, someone who has the same ISP was recognized as a spammer, which caused blocking of your computer as well.
There are two ways to remove the ban – go to your database and delete your IP address from the table “wp_sb_ip_log” (permanent solution) or change the name of the plugin’s directory on FTP, which deactivates the plugin (then execute the first step).
If you do not want to to be banned again, please muse the fast method of detection of spammers, which will sent you a cookie that will tag your PC as not spammy.
I am working on a new feature which will allow you to choose between blocking or just disabling comments in the next version. It will be released in 2 or 3 months, please be patient.

In reply to: [Spammer Blocker] [Plugin: Spammer Blocker] banned myselfHello, in that case, empty the whole table “wp_sb_ip_log” (via phpMyAdmin or something similar).
You can also rename the plugin’s folder via your FTP client in order to disable it.

In reply to: [Spammer Blocker] [Plugin: Spammer Blocker] Not sure how this worksDirty Butter: Honestly, I am really busy lately. I’ll try to find some time to fix this (and a lot of other issues). The new version may be out in the following 2 or 3 months, but I cannot promise anything.

In reply to: [Spammer Blocker] [Plugin: Spammer Blocker] banned myselfTo fix this problem, open your MySQL database and delete your IP address from the table “wp_sb_ip_log”.
