In reply to: [Gallery Carousel Without JetPack] REPLY to comments in Carousel?10 month bump!
Can anyone help?Can you please advise us on how to fix the plugin to allow for users to REPLY to each other in threaded/nested comments when viewing images in the Gallery Carousel?
I run lots of photo blogs with this plugin, and really need this feature!

Is there good reason to think that restarting the server could resolve the max_upload_filesize PHP settings?
call me paranoid, by i’ve never clicked the “Restart Server” button in the Plesk panel…is it common practice or is there danger of losing data?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Upload Max Filesize changes not workingNosir, I haven’t. I do see a button in the Parallels Plesk panel that says “Restart Server.” Of course I’m scared to click anything I’ve never clicked before.
Is there good reason to think that could solve it?
Any danger in doing so?Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: [Gallery Carousel Without JetPack] NESTED comments in Carousel?I received a response from the developer saying
It is a bit complex but if you want to go for it, here is how you can do that. Note that we haven’t tried it yet but in theory it should work.
Add a comment reply link in the jetpack-carousel.php file in the comments loop.
enqueue comment-reply.js script.
I pasted
<?php comment_reply_link( $args, $comment, $post ); ?>
in what I “guessed” was the comments loop (line 260)…and it generated a fatal error.Would really appreciate it if you could provide a little more direction?

In reply to: Let SUBSCRIBERS see their comments in dashboard?Posted it last night.
NO LOVE so far. Dang.Developer’s site charges $30 to get any support. Hmmm.

In reply to: Let SUBSCRIBERS see their comments in dashboard?Thanks for that. I’d installed the Members plugin previously, and noted that moderate_comments feature…but would definitely need to remove Edit capabilities. Unfortunately, have absolutely NO idea how to do so.

In reply to: Avatar sizingNo dice…I disabled the avatar plugin and the issue is still the same— reply avatars are still 32px

In reply to: Avatar sizingBig Bagel, I used the 2nd option you provided, and it worked like a charm! This is awesome.
BUT
The comment replies are still at 32px. Any ideas on how to fix that?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Avatar sizingfrom Big Bagel’s comment above, it looks like WP’s default avatar size is 32…which I’d guess is the actual size of the avatars at my link?
i set the Avatars plugin size to 80, but it makes no difference.
and when i disable the plugin, the avatars on the site stay the same size. wouldn’t that mean the plugin isn’t the issue?there are some installation notes on my Add Local Avatar plugin here, but i’ll be darned if i can understand ’em.

In reply to: Avatar sizinghey there-
my comments.php file doesn’t have any mention of ‘avatar’
nor does the functions.php file.
in fact, the only mention i can find of avatars is in the style.css} ul.commentlist li.comment div.vcard img.avatar-64 {}
the site is viewable here.
thanks for any help!

In reply to: [Facebook Like Box Widget] Removing the borderSame issue.
The link redlinepc put up only lets you control a few attributes…not this one.I REALLY wish I could get rid of the little thin black border that surrounds the “like box.”
