In reply to: [Plugin: Flexible Upload] Not compatible with WordPress 2.6?There is a good lesson here – if you have plug-ins that you want to keep, don’t upgrade WordPress until those plug-ins have also been upgraded.
There is a note on the Flexible Upload homepage, in the forum, from the developer. FU is not compatible with WP 2.6. He says he’ll work on it.

In reply to: [Plugin: Flexible Upload] can anyone update it?Antoine released Flexible Upload v1.10 today. Works great with WordPress 2.5.
If you are one of the (apparently) many who do not care much for the image upload feature in 2.5, you really should give this plug-in a try. I’m loving it. Kudos, Antoine!

In reply to: [Plugin: Flexible Upload] can anyone update it?Actually there is a quite a bit that Flexible Upload offers that is not in WP 2.5. Sure, you can make thumbnails, IF you want them to always be one size. Otherwise, you will constantly be going to Settings to change the size of your thumbnails. Plus, compatibility with Lightbox (etc.), watermarks, and a whole lot more. My dream was that all this would be included in WP 2.5 but, alas, was not to be.
I use a lot of images in my blog, and I’m really missing Flexible Upload. Right now, I’m using a shareware thumbnail program I found somewhere and FTP-ing a lot. To say nothing of all the manual coding in my posts. Sorry, but I want my Flexible Upload!

In reply to: 2.5 image uploadI was having this same problem. For me, it got fixed when I went to the Settings -> Miscellaneous page and entered “Full URL path to files (optional)” (even though it was the same directory as “Store uploads in this folder.”)
For some reason, having the full URL to the upload directory seemed to help.
This worked for me. Your mileage may vary. ??

In reply to: “Top Story” Post?Adhesive works great for me. You’d just have to designate each day’s top post as sticky and remove that designation from the previous day’s top post. You can even CSS to make the top post look different if you want.

In reply to: Ajax Comments slowdownThanks, Yosemite! You know, I’ve been staring at this thing for three days and never saw that. It seems that the inline-ajax-comments plugin was being called twice… once by my theme and again by the plugins. I disabled it in the plugins, and all appears to be well again.
It sure helps to have an extra set of eyes around. Thanks again!

In reply to: Boxy but Gold commentsI believe I have solved the problem. Thanks, Viper007Bond, for the clue! I just replaced the code in my last post with the corresponding code from a theme that was working correctly.
Thanks for your help!

In reply to: Boxy but Gold commentsViper, the only place I can find that phrase in that file is here:
<a href="#comment-<?php comment_ID() ?>" title="<?php _e('Permalink to comment ').$comment_ct; ?>"><?php echo $comment_ct; ?><?php comment_time() ?></a>
Does that help?
