In reply to: Tiff links not visibleHi Matt!
A conversion to .jpg was my first suggestion, but unfortunately 600 Tiffs are already uploaded ;(
The goal was never to display the images on the web though. The administrator of this site only wanted them presented as links, just like in Firefox.
/Ps. Your code above is visible in IE, but not in Chrome (stupid web browsers ;))

In reply to: Tiff links not visibleThe links on the following page are updated to open the Tiffs in a separate window…

Unfortunately they are not visible there in IE and Safari either… How come?

In reply to: Tiff links not visibleOK, that might stop the time out/freeze issue. But even if the browser isn’t trying to open the images automatically when the page is loading, each image might still not be accessable when it’s link is clicked in IE or Safari?

In reply to: Tiff links not visibleNo way to make the Tiffs be visible as downloadable files (links) in all browsers?

In reply to: Tiff links not visibleI am actually not responsible for this web site anymore. I’m just trying to help the current administrator with this issue. I don’t know why the choise has been Tiff files, but I guiess that it’s just the format that they came in.
The idea with this section of floor plans and drawings is to make them available for download, the same way as they are presented in Firefox.

In reply to: Tiff links not visibleI don’t really think that any of the images are broken. Anyway, do you mean that your version of Chrome actually tries to load the images, it’s not just displaying their links?

In reply to: Tiff links not visibleI have no idea of when .tif or .tiff should be used. Both seems to work though…
-> WPyogi! Are you saying that the page is timing out in Chrome as well, meaning only a few of the links/icons ar showing up?

In reply to: Tiff links not visibleHmm…
I see that both Safari and IE are supposed to be able to show Tiff files. Since it’s these browsers that just shows blank pages… could it be that they are trying, but fails for some reason? No error messages though…

OK, thanks!
If anyone has a tip, please feel free to post it here ??
Hmm, no answers… Maybe there are some extension plugins available for this fuctionality?
Another question…
I have seen that some slideshows offer a clickable button attached to an image (e.g. ads with links to special offers) that does what I’m asking for? Are there any similar posibilities in NG Gallery?
I actually did file a new bug report a couple of days ago, but I have still got no response there ??
/Ps. Just of curiosity… Why do you need FTP access, wouldn’t it be enough with WordPress access?
