In reply to: Single install conversion to mulitsiteHi Mika, please accept my apology, I have just listened to a wp late night podcast where you were a guest, mmm you didn’t sound like a mike to me, so really sorry. I’m just a hobbies WordPress user and that podcast is always very interesting. I have found your book and so I think a donation will be coming your way as the book is very good.
Thanks & sorry again. LeeForum: Networking WordPress

I’m having the same problem, so if I’m correct there is no way around this, and the problem lies with fb? I see sonic you have just the fb avatars now and not the stories

I sort of new that anyway but I wanted to put it out there, I’m not brave enough to download it, I have too much to loose.
The saying “if its too good to be true….it probably is!” comes to mind
As you say $39 isnt alot especially for the Elegant theme package you get.
Thanks for the replyLee

In reply to: sub-domain or sub-directoryThanks guys for your prompt help.
I think I’m going to go with the sub directory also get the plugin as per Tim’s advice..
When the purchased domains are mapped to my subdirectories , how effective is the SEO etc and will the domain name be visible in the address bar, or will it show it as it’s actual location in the sub-directory?
Again I thank you advanceForum: Networking WordPress

In reply to: how to load home page from my domain nameAll done guys thanks a lot.
I followed the instructions and it worked a treat. At one time though I thought it had gone wrong as I couldnt navigate back to my admin page, but with a little tinkering I found it again
Just one thing though was the need to change all the URLs to new locations, slightly painfull and I’m sure I’ve missed a few lol.
I could of propbably left the images in the orignal directory though…maybe, oh well its done now.
Thanks againForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: how to load home page from my domain nameThanks Voodoo
I’ve been reading the link you posted very carefully. You say its simple, some parts seem simple, but other parts look dangerous.
Yes my wordpress is in domain.com.au/blog
I want to move it to the root folder in the public_html folder.
As I said, I think the moving of files would be easy using FileZila but what scares me is the permalinks and url’s for my media and images.
Did you have any issues with updating the permalink structure to the .htaccessThanks again
