In reply to: [Jetpack VideoPress] license activation issueHello there! Good to hear you are using VideoPress this way.
To be able to upload videos to VideoPress, the user that is doing the action must be connected to a WordPress.com the same way you are.
By default, when you setup the plugin, we only connect the site and your account.
To fix this, each admin user needs to:
- login into your site
- go to Jetpack > My Jetpack menu
- scroll the page down to the “Connection” section
- look for the “You’re not connected” message and click the “Connect” link near it
- on the new page, click the “Connect your user account” button
- proceed with login or account creation on WordPress.com
The other users will not need to buy VideoPress, just login to WordPress.com (or create an account and login, if they did not have one before).

In reply to: [Jetpack VideoPress] VideoPress Block slug nameHello!
It’s good to hear that you are using VideoPress ??
The block slug is
videopress/video
.You can check the slug for any block by inserting it on the block editor, then switching the editor to the “Code editor” and then looking at the beggining of the code that will show up:
- Insert the block and open the Options menu
- Change the editor mode to “Code editor”:
- Check the code for the slug:
- Don’t forget to change the editor back to the Visual mode:
Hope this helps you in the future!

In reply to: [Jetpack VideoPress] Several problems with VideopressHello DKM, thank you for you contact!
Seems like you are hosting videos on VideoPress and playing them using some features of the MasterStudy LMS plugin.
Seems also that you changed the privacy of your videos to Private. Did you change it recently, after migrating to Jetpack VideoPress standalone plugin?
About the errors that you mentioned, they are being generated on the MasterStudy LMS plugin itself.
You will get the “403 Forbidden” response on the VideoPress video files everytime you try to access private videos without the proper authentication, and seems like the MasterStudy LMS plugin is not able to handle VideoPress private videos.
The code after the “.mp4” that you mentioned is the way to authenticate private VideoPress videos when playing it from your site.
Given that MasterStudy LMS may not be able to handle private videos, my suggestion is that you change the privacy of the videos back to public and test how things go.
Let me know what you get after it.
