Hello, thanks for the response. We are aware of the issue, the error is caused from compatibility with php version 7.2 and lower. LPH version 1.3.2 will fix this.

Once Libsyn Publisher Hub is deactivated or removed future posts will not have the post meta fields for a podcast episode (when creating a new post). If you are editing a previously published post which was used to create a podcast episode using LPH plugin, then the LPH custom fields will remain for those posts. You can optionally use a plugin like “Advanced Custom Fields” to remove the Libsyn meta fields for those previously published posts.

You can still embed podcast episodes via a shortcode with the [podcast url="yourlibsynembedurl"][/podcast] also which will automatically load the iframe. Or as you mentioned embedding the iframe directly into a WP post.

We have received feedback from other Podcasters who would to post to pages as well. We are adding new features with every version, so look out for this in a future release!

The Libsyn Podcasting Plugin is intended for use with Libsyn Account users. If you host your podcast feed using another WordPress plugin then the Libsyn Podcast plugin would not be recommended for you.

The Libsyn Podcasting plugin does use the shortcode “podcast” for blog posts, so if you have another plugin installed which uses the “podcast” namespace for a shortcode it may cause problems. If your site is not working properly after uninstall, then it would be something other than the Libsyn Podcast plugin which is causing the error since the shortcode for “podcast” will be available once it is uninstalled.

You can set the player placement on the setting page or on the post page by opening up the “Libsyn Player Settings”.

The plugin does support short codes once you post an episode the plugin will automatically insert the short code into the post.

The latest version of the plugin is compatible up to WordPress 4.7 If you are still having issues with authentication please let us know at [email protected].
