I dunno what custom fields are. My plugin is only a php script which a large echo instruction that dumps the result into the shortcode-placeholder.joyously:
I was speaking of both: Internal and external search. Both are not working. So, if anyone is interested to google or wp-search for content which is displayed in about half of my site, it is impossible to get there ??
Since I’m developing my site as a hobby / practise, I’d rather learn how to solve that issue on my own than to pay someone. If it is too complicated, copy pasting the generated HTML code into the backend as HTML-block (or something like that) would be more efficient, if the content can be crawled properly.bcworkz:
Sorry for pinging the wrong username! I was not aware that this means something else in the WP forums. Speaking of Google search, the sites are indexed, but the sites to not appear in google search (or elsewhere) even if I copy-past complete passages. It seems like only my blogposts and normal sites are crawled correctly.Forum: Developing with WordPress

Than, how do I integrate my database into the wordpress scheme besides moving that tablet into that database? Is there anything I need to know when connecting or selecting my tables? Never made a query inside the wordpress scheme before.
I don’t understand the code reference of pre_get_posts. Where is this to insert and what for?!
Sry, for being such a lousy dev, I got only some months of experience in php / mysql and never intended to be a dev and never will ??@kernix:
Nope, there is no exclude neither in robots nor search console. The part of the site which is written inside workpress works fine, it’s just my generated part that seems to be overseen. The HTML code the visitor sees is correct. I’m just wondering why I still don’t get ANY search results even for very specific queries. I did not have this problem before switching to wordpress.
If there’s a possibility to direct message, I can give you the site. I don’t want it to be shown publically due to seperation of concerns.Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: Using wordpress search on own plugin / database@joy:
It is a seperate database with five tables. Since I did not have the slightest idea how to move and connect to the wordpress scheme, the script is building up a second connection to that database. The code does nothing but building up a SQL query and showind the results.
It would be perfectly fine, if the wordpress search “learns” the HTML code which is displayed to the visitor. Its changes are dynamic, but quite slow (months or years!). It is sufficient that the search displays the site where the text is found.@kernix:
I use common wordpress sites and register my plugin via shortcode. The sites are inside sitemap.xml but the search engines do not find any texts on this site, which come from the plugin. This is weird because the content changes quite slowly (every three or four months). I do not use any url parameters since all the relevant stuff is handled via shortcode.Forum: Plugins

Thanks for sharing your information. Are you speaking of the .htaccess protection? Can you please post the link where you found a version, that worked for you?@carl B:
Yep, my problems with the metabox occured with the latest update. It does not matter if the update came automatically from wp servers or downloaded as zip.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast disappeared from sidebarHello,
I just updated to 15.2.1 and there are plenty of javascript errors in the backend (edit posts):

They also appear in the trouleshooting mode, when yoast is the only active plugin.
The only thing which was updated nearly in the same times was wordpress itsself. Since Yoast 15.1 is working with the new wordpress version, I guess that something happened in 15.2. oder 15.2.1

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast disappeared from sidebarYep, I’ve used TwentyTwenty. The problem was not theme related. I’m having the issues in the backend with the Gutenberg Editor.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast disappeared from sidebarThank you. I’ve rolled back to Yoast 15.1. Everything works as usual.
I was able to reproduce that issue by updating to 15.2.1.
Then I rolled back to 15.1 once again. Works fine again.
Therefore I conclude, that something broke with the latest Yoast update.- This reply was modified 4 years, 4 months ago by lilalippenstift.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast disappeared from sidebarThanks for your support. I’ve run the site health plugin in troubleshooting mode with another theme. The problem already occurs in the backend, when Yoast SEO is the only plugin running. It doesn’t matter whether I created a new post or edited one. There is neither Y-button in the sidebar nor openable Yoast Footer menu. The sidebar just looks like in my previous post.
Is there any possibility to save my Yoast and robots.txt settings and to downgrade to one or two previous versions of Yoast? I cannot downgrade wordpress since it’s managed by my hoster.
Hopelessly, I do not have a full backup which is good enough to rollback. UpdraftPlus just overwrote the full backup from last week today >_< My last database backup is from today, the other data from october 29th. I think merging these would bring the site to an inconsistent stage.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast disappeared from sidebarYep, I’ve already tried the troubleshooting guide.
Yoast is activated in the block manager and advanced panels. It does not show up in the right sidebar though. It appears on the bottom in an altered form, but I am not able to open the menu. None of the icons work.
Now, I’ve tried to move manually Yoast into the sidebar by installing the Disable Gutenberg Plugin. My problem is still unsolved. There is no button next to “block”. Futhermore , the new Yoast element on my right sidebar can not be opened.
https://ibb.co/PtR7qsnAs soon as I have access to the Yoast features, I do not care where they are. Yet I am not able to do anything with Yoast.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Missing Yoast MetaboxI’m having a related issue. After the last Yoast OR wordpress update, the meta box on the right sidebar is gone. I found the meta box in the bottom, but I am not able to open or close it. What can I do?!
https://ibb.co/Qdcr1mMP.S. I unintentionally marked the wrong arrow in the bottom, but that menu is not able to open anyway. I only see SEO, Readability etc. but I am not able to open any of those.

In reply to: Prompt a mysql table on a static WordPress site with paginationLazyblocks is a neat way to create a form on the frontend which is rendered into a predefined block. You define some input variables and a php/html/moustache code using these variables. It’s a nice solution if you want to create new blocks or designs for users who have no clue about programming. You can even do some logic with that, but it’s limited since you cannot interact with these variables outside the block. This was where I stuck. I needed a solution for reading out my data and not for copy pasting it. Inserting the generated HTML code each time I change something in the data base is not very consistent.
But anyway, I succeeded to implement my plugin.
Thank you so much for your kind help! ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Prompt a mysql table on a static WordPress site with paginationThank you! Yep, I wanted to reuse my database and renew my code to display it.
Okay, printing a simple “Hello World” or setting the variable with something like [mydata limit=3] does work now ??
But I’m having some concerns about how to get and print out my database. I think that my lazyblocks solution is going nowhere. This plugin creates some HTML form, where I fill in the data, which is stored into a PHP variable that I can reuse on a HTML-template inside lazyblocks. This is complicated since I am still not able to load the database data into the lazyblocks variables.
Shall I just leave lazyblocks and hardcode the whole HTML string into $output?
And where should I connect to the database? Somewhere in the myplugin.php?
