Hi @matthieugodts – can you share which version of WordPress are you using?
I tested with 4.7 and it works.

In slider are shown sticky posts – so if you mark any post as sticky post it will be shown in slider.

If I correct understand – this tutorial (Giving WordPress Its Own Directory) is about moving files to subdirectory (not same level directory).
In your example should be: /mySite/wordpress

your problem is more about server configuration.
Do you use some admin panel (cpanel/directadmin/etc)?

There is about line 371 in style.css – comment border-top just like below:

/* This is the custom header image */
#branding img {
/*border-top: 4px solid #000;*/
border-bottom: 1px solid #000;
display: block;
float: left;
}

If yes, the simplest way is to change one value in theme’s style.css file
About line 173 is:
#wrapper {
background: #fff;
margin-top: 20px;
padding: 0 20px;
}

You need to comment (or remove) margin-top:

#wrapper {
background: #fff;
/* margin-top: 20px; */
padding: 0 20px;
}

Important thing is that after theme update style.css can be overwritten.

You need different directory for every install (in your example /blog and /sales)
Another option is WordPress Multisite ??
