Now, am I wrong or does the plugin already have the functionality we’re discussing here if you select “By Role” but you don’t check any of the roles?

Thank you so much for you plugin, it has been enormously helpful.

I consider the feature discussed in this entry, of allowing both logged out users and admins to view the same item, would enhance the plugin significantly.

I am not yet through the learning curve of implementing hooks and filters and the possibility of a checkbox would allow easy managing of a site over time w/different admins.

That’s the beauty of the WP interface, can make it very clear how to set things up.

Another security plugin, Jonradio private site, took a dive into adding a checkbox to enable privacy, basically an additional activation of the plugin within its own separate settings.

So when I updated the plugin on the first site, for a few seconds it was no longer private, but it was easy to see the notifications, and check the box, and then just do that with other sites.

It was a risk taken and I believe in the right direction since in the end as a user and follower of a plugin, you’re in it for the long run.
