I noticed the countdown timer is not showing either.

After some experimenting, the plugin works as long as you do not make liberal changes to the templates contained in the plugin options, which can adversely affect output. Start from default and work carefully from there if adjustments to the templates is desired.

You need to send it to the address as defined in your WordPress settings See the Settings > Writing menu in your WordPress admin and you’ll find the options to set up the email.

I’m not talking about mentions, I’m referring to actual @replies that are only sporadically excluded when using Twitter Tools. Apparently the reason this happens is that some @replies are not hooked to the tweet it’s replying to, and as a result they get posted. This happens erratically and it seems Twitter can’t link tweet threads correctly when it should be. I dunno.

The mod contains coding that will exclude any tweets you have that contain the @ sign. It’s an excellent solution for me not only in excluding all types of @reply tweets, but all I have to do is prefix my tweet with a @ whenever I want a tweet to only show up on Twitter and not my site.

For those who’d like to know, the latest release 1.6b1 still does not resolve the issue. If you need a temporary solution in the meantime I would suggest twitterfeed.com

Regardless this is still a great plugin. I simply can’t function on Twitter and WordPress without it!

Do you have Simple Tags installed? That plugin has been known to cause many issues involving slowdowns and slow queries.

Are the unrelated tweets coming from the same group of Twitterers? I’ve tried to installed 1.4.x and still these tweets keep on coming. Is it a bug, or is this a problem germane to Twitter where I would have to filter out the bad tweets by name?

Worked as well for me! I did notice you can’t tell if it’s been delinked though until you refresh the page, though I’m guessing this is just how it operates, and not an actual bug.

I don’t get any PHP or javascript errors, all that happens when I click the Delink is that it takes me to a blank page with a url string like: plugins/wp-ajax-edit-comments/php/AjaxEditComments.php?action=delinkcomment&p=1022&c=2839&_wpnonce=dde5cbf853

This happens whether I do it from the admin or from the comments section on the blog. Weird. =\

Evidently it’s a broken feature. I tried to use it twice and all it did was take me to a blank page. It’s supposed to delink a commentator’s URL, which is useful for those who want to let a comment stand but think the commenter was just just spamming a backlink in.

It does it for other items as well. I think it’s a known bug that will be resolved in an upcoming release (if he ever gets around to it) =D

Ditto, with the PHP heavy widgets I use this turned out to be one of the best plugins I ever installed. =D
