In reply to: [Special Recent Posts] PHP Fatal Error UpdateOk, I think I’ve found a pattern here:
It seems when I upload new images for a post and set one of them to featured, I don’t have a problem.
But when I don’t upload any images and instead search my media library for images to use that have already been uploaded a while ago, that’s when the fatal errors start to occur. I also noticed that when I do this, no “gallery tab” is created either, which after a precursory look in the forums here, seems to be normal behavior for WordPress. Galleries are only created when new images are uploaded.
I’ve also noticed that images can only be attached to ONE post, so if I’m taking an image from another post and re-using it for a new one via the media library, then the Special Recent Posts plugin can not make a thumbnail from it.
This must be the source of the bug!
Is there a workaround I can try (other than uploading new images all the time) for this, at least until 2.0 is released?

In reply to: [Special Recent Posts] PHP Fatal Error UpdateWhere are the generated thumbnails being stored? I’m trying to find the folder they’re store din to see if these broken images are even being generated in the first place.
After a while I finally managed to capture this problem while the image wasn’t showing, although it seems to be happening a LOT now for some reason.
The PHP error is: File is not a valid image: /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/uploads/ Fatal error</b>: Call to a member function adaptiveResize() on a non-object in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/special-recent-posts/lib/phpimage.php on line 42
Here’s the broken image link: https://www.habitationofjustice.com/wp-content/plugins/special-recent-posts/lib/phpimage.php?width=65&height=65&rotation=no&file=L2hvbWUvaGFiaWFkYTEvcHVibGljX2h0bWwvd3AtY29udGVudC91cGxvYWRzLw==
I’ve compared this to the other image links and the only obvious difference I can tell is that the broken one is much shorter. Any help appreciated!

In reply to: [Social Slider] [Plugin: Social Slider] Google entry using the Buzz iconsRetarded, the plugin lists Google+ as one of the networks you can add but there’s no icon for it? Frigging add the stupid icon already.

In reply to: Why does WordPress strip links from image captions? WHY?The plugin caused some issues so i had to drop it. I’m also trying to avoid the pitfall of installing too many plugins too, so whenever I can find a non-plugin solution, I roll with that instead.

In reply to: Why does WordPress strip links from image captions? WHY?That’s what I’m doing, bit of a pain but at least it works (as far as I can tell)

Thanks for the explanation, since AEC was rolled into iThemes it was very confusing to figure out how current users could continue to benefit from the support. Since logging in though I can see the pricing details ($45 a year for two licenses) which is much more reasonable than $197, LOL
Agreed, what’s worse is that I never received notification as to what happened and how development would continue, and I was actually paying the yearly subscription to use this plugin too. Now the only way I can receive any updates to the plugin is to pay $197? No thanks.
Yaaaaaaaay that worked, finally! Thanks for the code!

In reply to: [Subscribe To Comments Reloaded] Bugs in 2.0Ok, I’ve removed any new subscriptions including the test one you did on my site, deactivated the plugin, then reactivated. I still can’t see my old subscriptions.
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG.
