I briefly looked at Gridiculous Pro but opted for Business Identity. Seriously glad I built the relaunch of my website around BI. It’s a fantastically flexible template and it does what I need it to do. The documentation they provide is thorough with screenshots that take you step by step as you build your hero section, testimonials, blog excerpts on the front page, etc.

I have pretty good HTML knowledge but very limited CSS, yet I can follow some code (and BI provides info on how to set up column formats on your pages to make them look like gridded content).

It has dropdown menu capability if the site is being viewed on a computer or laptop — this reverts to a sliding menu bar in mobile devices. I almost took my site to an external hosting site because I wanted this as a plug-in, but BI offers it.

I’d advise you if you’re thinking about BI and don’t have external hosting to purchase the WordPress Business package at $299 — then you get Premium templates for free. I initially opted for another premium template but it didn’t work for me, and with the package I could switch to BI without paying additional costs. Considering BI’s $175 price tag, that’s a sweet deal.
