In reply to: [WordPress IDX Real Estate Listings & MLS Search] Sample websitesHello Joe,
Yes, we certainly do! We have found that customers do not always like when we post their sites online without permission, though. So, if you wouldn’t mind sending an email to us at [email protected] we can then email you some sites to check out.
Thank you!
Lindz
Diverse Solutions TeamHi Matt,
We’ve not gotten any reports from our live customers with the same issue so that tells us that it’s related to something in your specific environment.
It could be another plugin that’s causing the issue since you don’t believe it’s the theme.
If you haven’t already done so, try deactivating all plugins but dsIDXpress. Then, check to see if the issue still exists. If it does NOT exist then you’ll know the issue is related to one of your plugins. Then, activate all other plugins one at a time. After activating, check to see if the issue happens. In this way you should be able to locate the offending plugin.
Let me know if you are able to figure this out!
Hello Matt,
We’re not able to reproduce this issue on our end using various different themes. Generally, when an issue like this presents there is either something within another plugin that’s causing the issue or something, more likely, within the theme itself.
You can test this by switching your theme to something like Twenty Twelve and you’ll likely see that the issue resolves itself.
Once you’ve confirmed that the issue is within the theme itself (or another plugin) you’ll need to debug the issue within the theme’s code itself.

Diverse Solutions TeamHi Bethany,
I just checked and it looks like that menu item has been removed as you can see in this screen shot: https://prntscr.com/63k5ch
It may have just been caching when you first wrote this post. But I am glad to see, either way, that you were able to get it removed.
Let us know if you have any additional questions!

[email protected]Hey Bethany!
That’s great to hear! I am glad you were able to figure it out. To figure out which plugin was the culprit, you can re-enable them one at a time. After enabling one, check to see if the issue still exists.
If it does not, then re-enable the next plugin. Check for the issue again.
And keep that up till you find the culprit! That way you can use whatever other plugins you need for your site and just keep the one plugin disabled that was causing the issue.
Hope this helps!
Hello Bethany,
I hope you are doing well!
There is a filter within the WordPress page and post editor called, “wpautop” that all content within pages and posts is run through when you create a new page / post on your blog. The filter helps save you time on some formatting issues within pages / posts without you having to know HTML. [read more about this filter here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/wpautop%5D
dsIDXpress is programmed to REMOVE this filter to protect the look and feel (the formatting) of all pages generated by dsIDXpress.
The issue that you are currently experiencing is because your theme is forcing the content of our pages to be processed by the “wpautop” filter, or similar functionality, which then changes the formatting of our pages and produces the errors that you see within the those pages.
Typically, this occurs because the theme developer has implemented a short-code called “raw” directly into the theme. “Raw” was popularized before WordPress introduced short-code API [read about short-code API here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Shortcode_API%5D, and is implementing a less than perfect content filtering stack, which leads to the forceful execution of “wpautop”. It is important for theme developers to use the short-code API when building short-codes to alleviate issues such as the one you are currently experiencing within your blog.
The issue itself will need to be addressed within the theme. We’d advise you to contact the theme developer directly so they are able to address the issue in the theme and then offer a theme update with the new version of the theme code. If you attempt to fix the issue yourself through the code you’ll end up having to update it again every time the theme developer releases a new version of your theme.
There COULD potentially be another plugin causing the issue too. However, in the majority of cases this issue is directly in the theme itself.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Thank you!

Diverse Solutions TeamHey Cliff,
Thanks again for your note. Our developers will soon be looking into improving our wp-load.php in the dsIDXpress plugin. Have a great day!
Hey Cliff,
Thanks for your note! I will pass this along to our Developers to check out. Have a great day!
Thank you,
Lindsay
Hello Debbie,
I’m Lindsay with Diverse Solutions. Our service does actually work on GoDaddy hosted websites. The issue with GoDdaddy is that the IP address of your hosted site changes on a daily basis which affects dsIDXpress. However, we solved this dilemma with a fix that keeps GoDaddy hosted sites activated even when the IP address changes each day.
Please let us know should you have any additional questions.

In reply to: [WordPress IDX Real Estate Listings & MLS Search] Undefine errors for widgetsHello,
Generally, when errors like these appear they are directly related to the theme itself. However, it could also be related to another plugin you have activated or the WordPress install.
Since you’ve already tried switching out themes for some of the default WordPress themes and that did not work I’d suggest trying the plugins next. Your best bet would be to first deactivate ALL other plugins at once. Once all have been deactivated check to see if the problem persists.
If it doesn’t… then you’ll know the issue is a plugin conflict. At that point begin reactivating each plugin one at a time. After you activate each one check for the issue until you find the culprit.
If the issue persists, though, we’d need more information in order to help guide you to resolving the issue. I was not able to find a support ticket with the above information. Once you’ve gone through the plugins and if the issue persists please try contacting us again via email or by phone:
