    Hello!

We are concerned to hear that you’ve lost your LMS course design after updating to the new version. However, you can switch between the available design variants for course pages, and we believe one of them should meet your satisfaction. If you made any custom design changes, please remember that custom changes are always recommended to be made using a child theme.

To address your request, let me clarify the design changes on the course page. Based on the majority of client requests, we have significantly improved the course player and course page functionality.

    1. Dark Mode: We have released a dark mode for the course player, and this feature will soon be available on the course description page as well.
    2. Course Page Designs: Currently, MasterStudy users have access to three course page designs. More designs will be released gradually, with additional free designs nearly ready for release.
    3. Control of Elements: You will soon be able to control all elements, including the sidebar, on the course page as separate blocks. This will allow you to change buttons, their placement, and make other adjustments. For example, the enroll button will be controlled as a separate widget, making it easy to make changes to the course page layout.
    4. Course Thumbnail Video: There will be an option to add a video to the course thumbnail, allowing you to attach a video instead of just an image.

Please understand that all these improvements required significant changes to the course page code to enhance performance and achieve these advancements. We recommend following the updates (and always making backups to prevent unexpected changes, issues) to get the latest improvements and fixes.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to provide you with the best experience.

    Hello @ghost994,

Thank you for providing additional information. If a fresh installation of WordPress still encounters the same issue with the cost calculator plugin, it suggests that the problem might be related to a broader conflict within your server environment or specific configurations.

In such cases, I recommend reaching out to your web hosting provider for assistance. They can help investigate server-side configurations or any other underlying issues that might be causing the conflict with the plugin.

Additionally, you may want to double-check if there are any server-level restrictions or security measures in place that could be affecting plugin installations or file operations.

If the hosting provider confirms that everything is set up correctly on their end, we might need to engage a developer and QA team to perform a more in-depth analysis of the issue and provide targeted solutions.

I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck in resolving the issue swiftly.

    Warm regards,

    Lisa

    Hello @mx5918,

Thank you for your detailed response.

The PHP Fatal error you’re encountering indicates that there’s a conflict with the interface enshrined\svgSanitize\data\TagInterface, likely due to a previous installation of the cost calculator plugin. To resolve this, follow these steps:

    1. Access your website’s files using FTP or cPanel.
    2. Navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory.
    3. Locate the cost-calculator-builder plugin folder and delete it entirely.
    4. After deleting the old plugin files, reinstall the cost calculator plugin.

This should prevent conflicts with duplicate plugin files and interface names, allowing the plugin to function correctly.

If the issue persists, turn off both the theme and any other plugins. Next, try installing the Cost Calculator Builder plugin. It should be installed smoothly. Then, gradually re-enable each theme and plugin to identify which one shares a similar interface name and is causing conflicts.

    Best,

    Lisa

    Hello,

It seems you’ve made adjustments to the image dimensions, but perhaps the changes haven’t been immediately noticeable. Let’s troubleshoot together.

Setting an image to 1920:1080 means specifying its dimensions in pixels. In this case, 1920 pixels wide and 1080 pixels high. This is a common aspect ratio used for images, especially in web design, as it matches the dimensions of a standard HD (high-definition) display.

On the other hand, stating that the images should have a 2:1 ratio means that the width of the image is twice the height. For instance, if the height is 100 pixels, then the width would be 200 pixels. This aspect ratio is often used for aesthetic reasons and can result in visually pleasing compositions.

The main difference between the two is in how the dimensions are specified. “1920:1080” explicitly defines the width and height of the image, while “2:1” defines the relationship between the width and height without specifying the exact pixel dimensions.

In practical terms, if you want images with dimensions of 1920 pixels wide and 1080 pixels high, you would set the aspect ratio to 16:9 (which is the same as 1920:1080) or directly specify the width and height in pixels.

Allow me to present alternative choices for modifying and experimenting with the images on the course cards, tailored to whatever your objective may be. Could you try altering the “Courses Per Row” setting to see if it affects the display of the images. Additionally, experimenting with different card styles might reveal the changes you’ve implemented.

Another option worth exploring is creating a new page layout using Elementor and incorporating the Courses widget

Edit courses page using Elementor (screenshot)

This method grants more control over image sizes and layout. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Add the Courses widget to your page.
    2. Navigate to the “Style” tab.
    3. Scroll down to the “Card: Image” section.
    4. Here, you’ll find options to adjust the image size of the cards.

Remember to select the newly created course page as the archive page for courses. You can do this by navigating to LMS LMS > Settings > Courses > Courses Page, and then choosing your page from the dropdown menu (screenshot)

Feel free to customize the image sizes to your preference. If you encounter any further issues or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.

    Best regards.

    Greetings,

I’m delighted to share that the feature you’ve requested has been integrated into our cost calculator builder plugin. It seems to align perfectly with your requirements. Here’s how it operates:

    • You’ll be able to block dates from July 4th, 2024, to July 7th, 2024.
    • Simply click on the plus button, and a new block period will appear.
    • You can then select the dates from October 8th, 2024, to October 11th, 2024, to block this period.

This feature is already implemented and currently undergoing testing. We are optimistic that it will be included in the upcoming release of the plugin.

    Warm regards,

    Hello @cartpauj

You’re right, MemberPress does offer its own LMS add-on with a range of features. However, it’s important to note that this add-on is not free and is included in their pro plans. In this public forum, discussing pro features might not be suitable.

What I would recommend is considering MasterStudy LMS and Paid Memberships Pro (PMP) plugins, both of which are free and can help you build the membership functionality on your LMS website. Masterstudy LMS plugin offers seamless integration with PMP, which we highly recommend for its reliability and functionality.
