In reply to: [Music Player for WooCommerce] Select my own demo file – greyed outThank you for replying quickly and for clarifying.
Unfortunately, I am only prepared to make a certain level of loss on my store, so paid plugins are out of reach.
I am investigating alternative solutions.

In reply to: Html in bottom bar (add date automatically)Hi George – thank you for your swift reply.
I’ve been using WordPress/Divi for so long, it’s difficult to know where one ends and the other begins.
I will get in touch with Elegant Themes.
Thanks again!

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Replace PayPal button with proper buttonThis support forum doesn’t like adding links using the link feature, it seems. I’ll just copy and paste them.
First image – showing what looks like an unclickable graphic:

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Replace PayPal button with proper buttonThank you for your reply.
I am aware that the “button” can be customised in the way you describe, however it still looks like a graphic and not a button. A customer wouldn’t be aware that it is clickable.
I don’t know why you couldn’t access those images I uploaded. I shall try them here. This image shows what the website looks like using Woocommerce PayPal Payments. . You can see that it doesn’t look like a button a customer is going to realise they have to click on.
This is what it should look like – and, indeed, looks like on PayPal Standard: . You can see, in this image, that it is obviously a button which the customer needs to press in order to pay.
I hope that this problem is fixed before support for PayPal Standard is removed.

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Replace PayPal button with proper buttonI managed to add PayPal Standard to a different website to check this.
It seems that the options that I want are the default for PayPal Standard. I think I will use PayPal Standard until this problem is fixed, as I don’t want people abandoning the cart because they’re confused as to how to pay with PayPal.
I also had the issue of of the Sofort button appearing under the PayPal. I’m in the UK, have never heard of this before and it’s appearance made my site look dodgy. I was able to get rid of it by using the method described in the support response below, but this shouldn’t be coming up at all:
Looks like I’ll be best placed to stick to PayPal Standard for the time being.

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Doesn’t play nice with WooCommerce BlocksThanks for your reply, Niklas.
I will work around it for now and hope for an update soon.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Remove Payments NotificationOk – what a plonker, Rodney!
Turns out this is a plugin which was automatically loaded when I created WooCommerce. Because it was in the list of WC plugins, I didn’t realise it was an “extra”. I deactivated it and the notification has disappeared.
Leaving this here for anyone else who has a similar issue.

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Won’t connectIt connected!
So, I rang PayPal in the end and went through the automatic connection with them while they were on the line and – hey presto! – it connected! It simply worked.
They told me that they were carrying out updates on this connection/plugin yesterday which was why I couldn’t do it yesterday.
I wish I had known that when I was trying and trying and trying yesterday!
Anyway, updating this and closing the thread now.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Paypal Payments Plugin: won’t connectThanks! This is a very big site and didn’t see that.
Me too!
These two plugins have a history:

I put a note on the above thread.
They are both great plugins, but this frustrating.
My message deleted the link to the support topic I mentioned, but lanceadam has posted about this:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/old-maxmind-libraries-detected/
@wfpeter @benjamin4 @lanceadam
This has happened again and has affected me. Not a fatal error, but still an issue.
Does this mean GeoLocation IP Detection has made the suggested changes above and Wordfence hasn’t? I’m not a developer, so I may not be reading the code correctly.
`My site uses GEOIp maxmind libraries and is reporting a conflict with Wordfence.
Geolocation IP Detection: Error: Old Maxmind Libraries detected.
Apparently, there is another plugin installed that also uses the Maxmind libraries, but their version of these libraries is outdated. These files have been found to be loaded from another plugin: /wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/geoip2/geoip2/src/Database/Reader.php , /wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/maxmind-db/reader/src/MaxMind/Db/Reader.php
Please disable that plugin, update that plugin or use a different data source in Geolocation IP Detection. Until then, the lookup for Maxmind sources is disabled.`

In reply to: [Supernova] Header Text Next to Header ImageThanks for replying.
I realise it’s not an option. Just wondered if you knew, off the top of your head, how to do it. Will keep searching for a CSS solution…

In reply to: [Supernova] Change text on "more" linkYou’re a marvel, Sayed — thanks so much for this.
And the child theme will be helpful, as I need to do that.

In reply to: Change text on "more" linkThank you for your reply, Alchmyth.
I took another look at the file you suggested and the code definitely isn’t there.
I posted in the general support forum as the code seems to be generated by WordPress and not the theme. But I shall take your suggestion and post in the theme support section.
