In reply to: [WooCommerce] Lost Order after Database RestoreHi Shameem, thank you for your response. It is funny because I have Updraft Plus settings to backup every 8 hrs so I am not sure what happened. Normally if I have done any work on the theme I also do a manual backup just in case, but as I hadn’t needed to access the website, I just assumed the backups were happening as per the settings.
Thank you for letting me know about the order numbers. I have ended up just manually entering an order and having it give me a new order number. I referenced the original order in the ‘notes’, just entered his name and address but put the email as mine so it wouldn’t notify my customer. Not ideal, but it will be easy to figure out with the notes.
kind regards Robyn

In reply to: Spam Orders (2023)OMG, I can’t believe I found how to delete customers from Woocommerce -> Customers. I was nearly there.
- Delete the spam customers from WordPress Dashboard -> Users -> All Users
- Take a look at Woocommerce -> Customers from the side menu and all the spam customers will be in there, so…..
- Delete the Orders from Woocommerce -> Orders which will put them in the Trash. And here is the most important bit – EMPTY THE TRASH!
- Check Woocommerce -> Customers and they should all be gone – no code, no plugin, no nothin’ …BYE BYE SPAMMY PEOPLE ??

In reply to: Spam Orders (2023)Thanks magefix. I thought I would call my host provider and they advised to put a recaptcha on my website as it appears bots are just fishing for a response. They said that, while its annoying its not of a dangerous type. I said that I read on some forums to get firewalls and security and they said that they will pick up anything malicious like trying to get into my website, so not to worry about that at this time. I got another failed order overnight and have put a recaptcha now on my login, register and checkout page, so we’ll see if that helps. FYI for anyone else reading this, I did some searching and went with a free only reCAPTCHA for Woocommerce by Elliot Sowersby. It had reasonable reviews and found that most have unhappy customers whether paid or free, so I thought I would give it a go.
thanks Eduard ??
Thank you Eduard. ..So the off canvas menu can only be activated for desktops if you have Blocksy Pro (which I dont have), and because I have an off canvas menu for my mobile and vertical iPad, it doesnt know that to do with it when I turn the ipad horizontal? It seems strange since I thought the Responsive Breakout would tell the device what it needs to do with the menu and the full menu is below the black box when the iPad is turned, so I am guessing I am missing something ‘technical’ LOL. Yes, I don’t want to break other things as that wouldn’t be good for my head. Thank you so much for your response, Robyn
I have requested a refund as I am at a loss how to make it work. ??
Okay, while I am waiting to see if anyone can help me, I am still working on it. Currently I have a Local Pickup Only item in the cart and it says the shipping is Local Pickup only as the option YAY!. If I put a letter rate item in the cart it still says Local Pickup Only, all the way up to 8 letter items. On the 8th it says to enter address for shipping items. If I add a parcel rate item to the Local Pickup Only item, it says straight away to enter an address. I have this option unchecked in the settings so it shouldnt ask for an address. I am a little bit miffed that I can’t get technical support for this extension especially after paying AUD$173 for it just because my website is not online. I cannot put it online, as I have another website that is running while I build this, and also the main reason is that I can’t put it online WITHOUT SHIPPING as all my items will have some form of conditional shipping. I don’t really think my website needs to be up and running to help with the setting up of restrictions. If I can’t get any help within the next couple of days I will have to get a refund as my other website expiry date is looming and I will need to come up with a plan B.
oops for some reason it scrolled the text. Check the shipping classes and restrictions above and I will type the scrolly bit in ??
The problem I have, is when I have a Local Pickup Only or Bulky Item. If someone puts something in a cart that is Local Pickup Only, I want any further items added to the cart to only show Local Pickup ONLY option. This is because, if it shows another postage option they may not see that they have a Local Pickup ONLY product in their cart and expect that I can post everything for a parcel rate for example. I would assume that if the customer removes the Local Pickup ONLY item from their cart that it would revert to a parcel or letter rate as the case may be??? The same applies to a Bulky Item. I need when a bulky item is added to the cart that is the only option for the whole order.
For the Local Pickup Only, I have tried following the third restriction that I set up as I thought it was the same, but it is not working correctly.
For shipping class = Not all items in package (listing all classes except for Local Pickup Only), it shows Local Pickup Only option in Cart but if I add another item that normally would go parcel post it says ‘enter your address to view shipping options’ instead of still showing Local Pickup Only.
If I try Shipping class = Not in package (listing all classes except for Local Pickup Only) it shows Flat Rate Parcel Rate/Express and Local Pickup.
I would assume that Bulky Item Rate would follow the Local Pickup Only scenario if I can get that right!
I hope that all makes sense. Its absolutely doing my head in.
Kind regards Robyn

In reply to: Page ‘Jumps’ when page is refreshed or items searchedThank you for your response threadi. I did what you suggested and it is the Blocksy Companion that is causing the issue. I think I need the companion as when I deactivate it, it takes off my logo and account icon from the header. I will contact Blocksy directly. Thanks again, it is very much appreciated. Kind Regards Robyn

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hide Shipping Options when using a shipping classHi Saif, thank you for your response. The reason I got a WordPress site was to try and reduce my costs. I currently have a pre built site. I expected that if you pick a product and assign a shipping class to it, then that would be the only option that would be displayed in the cart. It is not, so I would question the point of having it or am I missing something? I have no issue with purchasing a plugin if it was a one off cost (which is something I need to do), but purchasing one that has a monthly cost means that it will bring me ever so closer to my prebuilt site, which is what I am trying to avoid, otherwise given the time I am putting in I may as well have stayed where I was. I hope you understand. I may be able to purchase it in the future but right now I just need to find a workaround. Thanks again for trying to help, kind regards Robyn
Yes, works exactly as I need, thank you. I am looking at buying the premium version so I can add variables as frequently bought items. I love your other plugin as well, the one that you can show variables as single products, that works a charm as well ??
Thank you for your help. I will take a look ??
