Ok, I understand. Can you assist us with troubleshooting the problem on our site? Every permalink that we create beginning with covid-19 returns a 404. Disabling the plugin fixes things.

Same problem here, could this be a PHP7 issue as my site is on PHP 7 too.

Really need this to work for PHP 7 also.

Resolved by increasing the memory limit in WP Config. Doesn’t appear to be related to WP External Links.

Thank you. I was hesitant to hack the module code since the changes would be wiped out in the next upgrade but if you intend to provide the functionality in the next version then that’s awesome.

It’s a single site install but it used to be a multisite install, so maybe that’s the issue.

This happened to me as well – all of my navigation menus disappeared. Turning on pretty permalinks fixed it for me.
