Ah it worked! I still don’t know why it wouldn’t show up but hey, this works just fine ??

Ok I checked, there are two background.gif images. One is in the wp-content images folder (/wp-content/themes/adelle/images) and the other is under wp-admin (/wp-admin/images). Is that a problem having two? They’re identical images, spelling is good.

I double checked and I have the correct image uploaded.

Ok I deleted the cache plugin I was using. I’m still seeing pink after clearing my browser’s cache. Any changes on your end?

It seems the problem has returned after I had to uninstall and reinstall my theme/child theme. I took the same steps in uploading a new background to the server so I’m not sure what’s causing it this time.

Ahh, thank you. I’m dealing with a problem I had yesterday, the background image won’t update to the custom one I uploaded to my site. They’re pink circles now but they’re supposed to be green and purple. It just kind of fixed itself yesterday but now the problem is back again. Can anyone tell me what color circles you see at the top of the page?

Oh my gosh. Wow. Dunce of the month here…I hadn’t chosen a menu in the Appearance panel. I selected one and bam, all fixed! Thank you for your help!

When I removed the child theme before there was no change with the just the parent theme. I deactivated all plugins and same problem. So I deleted the parent theme and re-installed it. Still no menu or nav bar. As of right now I only have the Adelle parent theme installed.

I went to my file manager and deleted the child themes so I could start over. I followed the plugin-specific tutorial I used on my site and there are 3 files in the child theme folder. Is all the info where it needs to be?

I think what I’m going to do is start over and make sure I re-watch the tutorial I used to install my child theme on my site.

I did activate it earlier today but it must not have stuck. So I went to my plugin and found this message:

This theme may not apply child theme styles correctly with the current settings:
Code exists between the wp_head() function and the closing </head> tag.

I’m going to try deactivating it and installing a different child theme plugin.
