Which version of Chrome and Edge is affected? Look to see if there’s an update needed and also try turning off any browser extensions.

This will give you a page under Tools > Cron Events, which will show you all of the scheduled tasks currently on your site. If you see a lot of things scheduled for “now” or as overdue, you’ll need to contact your hosting customer support to ask them to check if cron is working on your site.

Thank you. I can confirm that there aren’t any connection errors on the site with the Jetpack plugin. The next thing to rule out is that another plugin or theme is running interference. Have you already ruled those two items out?

Thanks. Have you tried disabling the other plugins on the site already? They could be running interference. It’s worth ruling out as a cause. Leave only Jetpack installed and see if the xml rpc error resolves.

The next thing I would rule out is a plugin conflict as @fresatomica mentioned.

Please provide the site URL so we can have a closer look at what’s happening.

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.
If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I don’t see any connection problems with the Jetpack plugin on your site. My suggestion is to test this widget out on a test site using a default WordPress theme (like twenty twenty).

Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. This will tell you if the theme is the problem.

Thanks for trying that. Looking further in to this I see that the widget is from BB Press rather than Jetpack. You’ll want to contact them.
