I did not use FTP.

I poked around and it seems that NextGen does not like very large images. The ones I uploaded were on average 4000 x 3500 and once I resized them to 1920 x 1240 thumbnails were generated. So in future I’ll be more careful with the size of images I upload.

I only have NextGen active.
