That was definitely it for me. “allow_url_fopen” is set to off. Which is good–security reasons.

I guess modifying it to cURL is the best option.

I’m having this error as well. I think it might be a conflict with another plugin or something, but I haven’t investigated it yet.

Maybe the plugin author or some other could shed some insight?

Yes, you can log into a router from outside the network… just get the ip address…

There should be an event log to look at but I wouldn’t look at XP’s I would look at the router’s. There should be one, you might have to dig around a little to find it. Look at it, if there’s anything strange then investigate that. I am thinking there is a certain command the router is executing that is screwing with it but without seeing this happen, it’s kinda hard to diagnose your problem. Again, I am almost sure you have a router problem… Check those logs…

I had the privilege of beta testing Canvas and I can say that it is an awesome piece of software and really great for people who don’t want to dive into all the theme files…

Herby, try to “Publish as a Draft” first. For some reason Word only publishes to a draft for me. IDK, beta issues… I wrote an in depth tutorial here if anyone else wants to know how to do this.

I had the same problem and never figured it out so… I moved on. But I know for sure it is not the file permissions that is prohibiting editing.
