Ah, ok… Reading another post by Monsieur Jeremy Herve, just use Facebook’s plugin:

That injects the .fb-like-box class if you use the HTML5 method.

I’m also trying to customise the css of the Facebook widget. I do know about css, but I don’t know about PHP! ??

Where in the above PHP exactly do I put my css?

I’m only trying to change the border colour to match the post excerpts, and to add a drop shadow….

I tried to target the weird selector that is generated:

.-cx-PRIVATE-pluginBoxContainer__border {
border-color: #e4e4e4;
box-shadow: 1px 1px 7px -4px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.25);
}

But since reading this post, I guess that wouldn’t work anyway…

Ah-haaa! It seems to be something to do with having a child theme.

When I switch back to the parent theme, the slider works.

But surely, modifying the parent theme is NOT the way to go?

Hmmm… I too cannot get the slider to work.

Have tried what mcranston18 above suggests, to no avail.

On this page (https://www.wpexplorer.com/fresh-clean-wordpress-theme-by-wpexplorer) it just sort of implies that by uploading a big enough image as a featured image, it will ‘automatically appear’ in the slider.

Any clues appreciated!!!!

Just to be clear, at the time I made the post, the developers DID NOT claim it was compatible up to 3.4.1 (and I was looking at the plugin page here on www.ads-software.com https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/fancybox-for-wordpress).

I notice now though that this page has been updated, and the votes for the combination (bottom right) are all good!

Hmmm… but why do I need to clear the left float on #primary to make the background show?

And if I clear the float, then #secondary will be in the wrong place (e.g. https://ohlalaleslesters.be/category/videos/).

And on a single post page(e.g. https://ohlalaleslesters.be/milo/the-volcano/), I get a weird grey line that looks like it might be something to do with #secondary, but isn’t??
