I have moved myself and 5 clients off the plugin. about to move 6th.
dev never even acknowledged it or chimed in.

In reply to: [Simply Instagram] OAuth Error – "You are not a sandbox user of this client"sometimes just changing to a new plugin creates issues for your layout, flow, function, UI, etc. I have spent some time tweaking THIS plugin to work in MY design and so moving to another plugin is just not that easy. I can do it, but I want to see the dev fix his plugin. It should not be a hard fix.

this plugin – latest Version 1.3.3 – is dead in the water presently. IG works, the plugin is not making the token connection and now cannot be authorized.
I will leave a rating once I test it a bit more. So far I like it. Just little issues here and there like the image size, but you claim that is resolved so we will find out.

I updated it, so on the next send out, we will see how it works ??
I tend to not just update plugins and such because a new version is out if things are working stable as the risk is high and I have seen plugin updates ruin a plugin or bork a wordpress theme. But in this case, I did the update to get the proper image size function.

In reply to: [Event Organiser] Widget event list with calendar icons?although I have not tried that, I HAVE modified the heck out of their template files and dropped them into your default theme root directory – so a plugin update does not kill off your tweaks. But this is one i have not done.as our events are “all day” but I suspect it is possible as I added and removed data I wanted and did not want shown from the single event page, so I bet this must be possible. maybe inside widget-event-list.php file.

In reply to: [Event Organiser] Where to place taxonomy-event-category.php to overrideI dropped mine right into the root of the theme itself. I also cleared cache to make sure to load the new file. It worked perfect for me.
That is the answer, but it is a terrible and archaic answer. This ability REALLY needs to be cooked into the front end plugins settings. Setting up the ability to block and exclude pages and posts by ID is so so basically needed, and the only way to do it with your plugin is so cryptic and bulky.
How about a simple new front end option of: “Exclude these ID’s:” and we can put in the ID’s we want to block. Simple, easy, all on the front end like everything else. Imagine doing this clunky way each time you want to block a page?

In reply to: [Simply Instagram] Stopped working on 1 site, fine on anotherIt appears, for some reason I cannot explain, Instagram revoked the access token for this SI plugin. Once I gave it access again, it worked. But, there is no way IN the plugins settings page to see your access was revoked.
Solved.. for anyone else with this issue
I had to deactivate the plugin, delete the plugin and it’s settings, reinstall the plugin, and then set it back up.
That is kind of a PITA as I do not have records of the exact settings we had, so I had to guess.
No I am using Chrome. I click a button or make a selection and literally nothing happens. I will send an email direct, thanks!
