    Hi Ramona, not really, I am still facing the issue. I have cleared the browser cache multiple times and tried in different browsers (edge, chrome). None of them shows me the arrow or the auto-play button.

    The issue in the end was some script provided by the theme provider. Updating the script the issue was solved.

    Thanks and regards,

    Actually, tried with a brand new installation of WordPress under the same domain, and it is working fast:

    I think it is probably some kind of corruption in the installation. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Hi Mark, yes I it is true, most of the time is wasted waiting for server response. Additionally, the hosting provider is probably very limited. But I still think WordPress has to do with it as well, due to the following facts:

    1- This started all of a sudden, after replacing one or another photo of the site. Prior to that, the site was not very fast, but still the performance was significantly better than now;

    2- The following website is hosted in the same server https://ildanakhalitova.com/, has the same theme and pretty much the same concept, full of photos. And it is not so slow.

    For test purposes, I will try to host it on a different server to see the performance. I will try one more time to engage the current hosting provider, but not confident they will be very helpful.

    Just another fact that might give some clue, recently we have added the plug-in: Multilanguage by BestWebSoft. After the installation of the plug-in, the site response was still reasonable, just a bit slower due to redirection. Maybe after changing photos with the plug-in the problem started, I am just guessing. I will try to disable the plug-in (only this step I tried and does not solve the problem) and the remove and add the photos again to see if it goes back to the previous performance.

    Thanks a lot for your cooperation!!

    Hello Mark,

    I did this morning and he said the server was fine, some quotes from their support:

    “we have double checked all the stats and since there is no resource over-usage and server performance is stable, then the issue is most likely related to the site code itself. You can try to optimize the site and check its performance after that”

    “According to Google checker, server response time is 0,7 sec. From my side, your site loads in 7-8 seconds or so”

    I do not know to prove the hosting provider, the problem is on their side.

    Regards,
