I am also having trouble just understanding where to put the shortcodes and actions you have provided. My objective is to allow users to edit posts that they have previously created, and only their posts. So I also need a way to allow users to choose the post they want to edit. Is this possible to do?

I forgot to mention that my catalog is shows perfectly fine when I am in the back end. I can even order a shirt if I would like. It just isn’t there when I leave the back end.
