Thanks Elliot
that did the trick. Appreciate you getting back to me.
All the best
BrenSome additional information:
I have added a template coupon under registration and also selected Coupon Affiliate as the role.
When using the registration form, I do get a notice under registrations which I accept. The affiliate is added and also added as a user in wordpress. The coupon code is also added to the list.
So it appears that everything is working correctly except for the fact that no welcome email is sent to the new affiliate.
cheersBren
thanks for your reply, Ojomo
Hi guys
just a bit more information on the topic I started; the referral links that I have provided to the affiliates are formatted as per this test example below:
https://magicelixirs.com.au/affiliates/?coupon=MagicTest
My assumption was that these links are provided to the referrals and when they click on the link, it opens up the Magic Elixirs site and they can go through the motions and add to cart. When they get to checkout, this code is applied automatically.
Instead, when the link is clicked, it sends me to a specific page. I have added as screenshot link as well.
cheers
Bren
PS: At the moment, my client wants to handle the codes differently to what your plug-in is designed for. Essentially, she just wants to use coupons without registering Affiliates. That’s the way she has always done it but I am working on getting the affiliates registered in the plugin so that we can generate a proper affiliate code which I think may be the issue with the link I provided.- This reply was modified 1 year, 3 months ago by Logozuu.

In reply to: [Menu Cart Divi] Changing pound symbol to dollar symbolI figures out that the pound symbol is just a placeholder. When you view the site outside of divi builder, the symbol is swapped out with the correct symbol for the currency that is aligned with your computer settings.
Problem solved.

In reply to: [Payment Gateway Plugin for PayPal WooCommerce] Can’t connect Live PayPalThanks for getting back to me so promptly.
So I got up this morning and logged out again and logged back into the WordPress and that red message seems to have disappeared. It may have needed some time to resolve.
Looks like it’s all good for now but I’ll contact the customers that were having issues and get them to process their orders again and see what happens.
best regards

In reply to: How do I test credit card transactions in WoocommerceThanks for your response. My situation doesn’t look exactly like the one described in the documentation. Perhaps it’s because I’m using the Divi Builder Woocommerce modules so I don’t get the nicely designed screen that has a check box to select test mode.
Also the Dev Mode relies on the site having Stripe as the processor and our site uses Square because my client had her Stripe account frozen for an undisclosed reason that we could never find out from Stripe. Can I use the Dev Mode if Square is the processor?
cheers

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce Customers not appearing on WordPress Users listHi Roxy
Discovered that the SiteGround Optimizer plug-in was causing the issue.
Thanks for explaining the differences between the various fields. I have notices that when a user creates a new account that occasionally, they don’t go to the Account Details section of My account to set a password and their username continues to be admin-????. I wonder if there is a way to force them to put in a display name/username at Registration instead of just their email. That would would resolve the ugly admin username from the beginning. Of course, the next time they login they will be forced to create a password.
Thanks also for the link that provides an option to state ‘Member since…’ information. It’s a pity that we can’t view the Users log by Date Created.
Appreciate your help.

The functions.php snippet worked.
Still not sure why this can’t be incorporated into the software from the beginning.
Appreciate you prompt response.
