Of course crawlers are going to follow the canonical link once the page is crawled, and by the way the original content is mine too, but I dont want my sitemap to show external urls.

The plugin was uninstalled from WP backend.
htaccess and wp_config don’t have any code from the plugin
Site url is http
Browser cache is clean

And, after all, the http -> https redirection is still there.

Following your knowledge-base link I just found how to change site url in the database, I will check the current value.

Just one more question…

If you have uninstalled by just removing the plugin through FTP, your site url will still be https (in settings/general). This will cause WordPress to redirect your site to https.

Is WordPress redirecting the http requests to https by itself if settings/general are pointed to https version?

The point is that I can not find what Plugin or Feature has set this redirect for me in the rewrite engine.

If at least I knew how to “see” the code in the rewrite engine I maybe could determine how that redirect got into there.
