well, i went to the admin panel and tried to deactivate the plugin [assuming that’s the source of the problem] and I get this message;

I don’t think anyone downloads it because there aren’t enough links to it or promoting it.

Viper: There’s nothing wrong with the content on the codex. But for people who prefer to read it offline as opposed to online, then it’s not printer friendly.

Conversely, couldn’t we just delete that php code that you listed above and just create a new <div> called “navtab” within the header.php and manually list the pages that we want as navigational tabs?

At the same time, we achieve the effect of not having to manually insert the pages that we want excluded by using the exclude tag?

I found it and it looks like this;

should I be inserting the code b/w the “1” and “&title” or do I stick it at the beginning of the parentheses– before “‘sort_column…”

Yes. To clarify further, I want the sidebar moved to another page, specifically the blog section.

And then I want to create a new sidebar or no sidebar at all, for the other pages.

Is there something else that I should be doing for WP2.0?
Because I uploaded the plugin and activated it.

I prepend the custom permalink with “/blog”.

I then proceeded to the homepage control panel and set my home-page and blog directory accordingly.

I hit “save” and I get the following message;

Good point. Well, for one thing I wanted to move the typical sidebar and the stuff that comes with it [categories, archives, blog entries] to another section on the website.

For example, on my site, https://www.networkersville.com , I want to move the content on the sidebar to other sections of the website. In place of that, I wanted to put some banners or other content in the sidebar for that particular section– which in this case is the homepage.

So I’m thinking I need to know some PHP to create a new sidebar for this stuff???

oh ok. I figured it out. Apparently there is some sort of a bug in Firefox that prevents us from using the new WP editor in 2.0. It won’t allow us to save and publish new content. It works fine in IE and Netscape.

Can you elobaroate on the “garbage rich virtual html editor” thing? I need to fix mine as well. I am using firefox as well.

I should note that I currently use A Small Orange Hosting and I’m happy with them. But the whole thought of upgrading to new WP versions and such is a pain at times and not one of my strongest assets.
