  • s2Member is telling us that their forums are closed to new post and that all new post are to found here.

As for the s2member pro. You to your “general options” and find “Registration/Profile Fields & Options”

You can add a custom field here but I do not know how it will display at the “top” of the beginning as you are wanting.

    I hope this helps.
    Kind regards,

It appears that the redirect has stopped working except for the Administrators login credentials.

On my site the s2member sidebar “login” widget “signup” redirect is working fine/correctly and takes a new registrant to the proper page.

The problem starts when the new user tries to login. No longer are they redirected to the Login Welcome page. Or, if the URL/URI is changed in the widget to allow registered user to be directed to a my account page.

I have been waiting to find a resolve for two months. I keep getting a canned response that it must be someone other plugin.

I have deleted other plugs, deactivated other plugins and the results are.. that the redirect are still not working!

Now when a new registrant registers and tries to login the are taken to a / wp-admin dashboard. Not very professional and not as their vidoes claim.

I purchased the pro version and when I used my VISA debit card it their system worked just fine… two months.. could anyone afford to keep their clients waiting for two months with just a NOT MY PROBLEM type of response?

    Class Action????

Wow.. still no solution to this problem. What I find in this WordPress environment is that “lack” of technical support and it may be due to the financial support structure…

I feel the Community would be better served if, the plugin developer were to offer a fee based support for “individual” premium plugin purchasers.

For example, I am trying to get https://AmericanContractorExchange.com off the ground and I am only getting lost in forums that are “closed” within 15 days? That is crazy. In my opinion the forums should stay open for six months. In this way newbies can drop in and pose questions to others and keep an open topic open. It would also create less new topic questions…

Back to a fee service for “hands” on advice. Look at the amount of “time” that has gone by with no resolve to being redirected to a dashboard.

I have deactivated, deleted and tried everything “I” could to get this resolved but have not…

Free really does not me “crap” if we pay for a premium product and get free support that takes us no where or takes months to resolve.

There is one area where there is no error ever! That is the area of taking money from us schmoes that pay for a plugin believing in a “support” from somewhere…

My experience has been that in the future one of two things are going to happen. 1. The plugin will raise the price to provide better service / support or 2. Someone else will step in and create the plugin product we need to fill the void.

If the later happens the house of cards will fall… and no one shall return. Service and support or we must abort!

Almost All companies are GREAT at taking the money and not so great in offering the continued support. Is it because the reach a comfort level and are no longer hungry to help us newbs? Let talk about time and money! When you are trying to get a site registration answer so it will work and it takes weeks to find a solution.. how much is it really costing us “users?” Maybe we should have just hired a programmer that is still hungry. I have not been able to find an answer to the redirect to the dashboard for weeks. This is bull…

I followed the directions displayed in a video and it worked for a day or two. After updates it broke. Now I am getting the dashboard for my users also. This problem is costing me clients that are trying to use my site.

Hi. Frustrated is putting it mildly. I got tired of the non-support-support from GD after years of being a reseller and having a dedicated server with them.

My saving grace was moving to Blue Host. Some of the techs have spent a great deal of time “hand-holding” me through the entire process.

For myself I got another dedicated server with BH. But then again I have some 300+ domains. The difference was night and day.

And, I have lots a sum of money on themes too.. I finally found good support and a theme at MH Themes…
    OK, I hope this helps..
    Lone Wolf out..

Great! That would be so hot! Cool! Great!

I guess my next question regarding this would be for me to put to the test “their” claim that I can use “someone’s” short code.

Here is the question Cristian. In the above hypothetical using the s2member added fields code “business_name_code” is there a “corresponding” wp_usermeta table.

Here is the reply that I received when asking the question to the form publisher.

“…but I am only guessing that the s2member registration field will populate the “our form” with the Business Name field when a user that has already registered has logged in and goes to use the form.

That’s correct. The user needs to be registered and have that data stored in the profile. The parameter name for dynamic population needs to match exactly the parameter name that is stored in the wp_usermeta table. See if it is “business_name” without the %% around it. That looks like it’s more for use in a template”

So, with this information I am assuming that the s2member “Custom Registration/Profile Fields have such a corresponding wp_usermeta association? I hope I am formulating this idea / concept correctly.

If so, then I need to identify what these wp_usermeta codes/names are so that I can dynamically link the data to the forms. This way when a registered user logs in to get a quote all the data is pre filled in “fields of my choice” as I see fit.

Now, if this is the case the question becomes… or the idea is to have a short registration form initially. (step 1), Then after the “new user registrant” confirms their email address to be redirected to their “long list business user profile” where the Business Name and other profile information can be collected and thus the user profile updated.

If I am correct in this process thus far..then here also is where I am lost.

I have not got my mind wrapped around how after the initial user registration in (step 1) is “developed” to take the person to “their profile” account to compete the registration process…

I am praying that I can get a handle on this… thanks Cristian.

Directory fields mapping to pro forms either in registration or re-login my account.

Please forgive me if this is a bump but it feels like the conclusion is inline.

I would like the registration form fields to map to “other form” fields. I have found some forms that allow for short code.

For example, if I customize the “s2member” registration form and insert a field name “Business Name” (business_name_code)how do I use this code to map to the gravity form “Business Name” field when a user is logged in?

Similarly, using the “Business Name” as an example, say that I also want the Business Directory “Business Name Field to populate with the s@member “Business Name” Field.

In other words, please be specific in your help, could you post an example of what “step” may be taken and take little steps please?

    Kind regards,

Talking over the head and vague response just add to frustrations but are of no real use… and we know how professional you are in providing professional responses and we thank you.

Yes.. I am steve@…. I decided to use a different tag not associated with insurance. I should have logged as LoneWolf95665

Thank you for the suggestion. I have contacted the hosting company. I have a dedicated server with 8gig of memory. The process records show only 59% being utilized at the peek.

I have increased the php memory to 300MB.

They asked if I should inquire about the Wordfence for the dedicated server vs each site. Is this an option?

Next, are there Firewall Rules, Alerts, Scans and Other options that can be tweaked to not use as much memory?

Update: Nope! The solution mentioned above did not work.

    Memory test:
“Wordfence Memory benchmarking utility version 4.0.3.
This utility tests if your WordPress host respects the maximum memory configured
in their php.ini file, or if they are using other methods to limit your access to memory.

    –Starting test–
Current maximum memory configured in php.ini: 64M
    Current memory usage: 60.00M
    Setting max memory to 90M.
Starting memory benchmark. Seeing an error after this line is not unusual. Read the error carefully
to determine how much memory your host allows. We have requested 90 megabytes.
Completing test after benchmarking up to 80.25 megabytes.
    –Test complete.–

Congratulations, your web host allows you to use at least 80.25 megabytes of memory for each PHP process hosting your WordPress site.”

I am experiencing similar problem except I get white screen with event manager pro.

I am working on some insurance sites. Data is Private and the law requires security of the data.

I have been using Ninja forms but now I have legal concerns about the data I am requesting on the forms.

    Any suggestions?

I need help with css. I have a template that appears to be causing problems with “radio” buttons and the “answers”

The “child” link is below the menu item “Blogs”

    https://contractorinsurance.net/blog-you-can-too/

Please scroll down the page and see the poll. The check box is a line up from the Answer. How do I fix this in the “Template” poll seciton css?

    Thank you.
