I’ve only been working with this to update my calendar page so I’m not sure about the theme. I’m not sure I want to change the theme, just want to change the one element.

I have selected an image and uploaded it using instructions from Simple Full Screen Background Image but I only can get this far. https://twoatnight.johnsherry.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=full-screen-background

With the help of support from ICDsoft, the problem is solved.
“You have installed WordPress in the cgi-bin folder, and this is causing the problem. This is a special folder, and you can’t serve static content from it, such as images and CSS files. We recommend that you delete the current installation and install WordPress in another directory on the account if you haven’t done more work on the WordPress site.”

So I followed their instructions and now things are working like they should.

BTW, ICDsoft has been my host for many years and day or night they solve issues I have and usually in less than twenty minutes.

I changed back to the Theme Twenty Seventeen with what seem like the same results.
