In reply to: [Namaste! LMS] Setting Course PriceI’ve added the “students need to pay a fee” for my course, and have paypal and stripe set up. But all I see is “you must login to enroll”. There is no option to purchase the course. Is it possible to see an example of how this should look when functioning properly? I’ve only seen screenshots of free courses, so far.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Groups] Backup / Export Members in a grouphave you tried a user export plugin? It should also export group data, but I haven’t tested it.
Here’s one I’ve used while working with PMpro, but not with groups.

In reply to: [CoursePress Learning Management System] Security ISSUE !!I also have the same concern. Even though I have set mine to use my “nicename” instead of admin name, it still links through with the admin login name in my instructor field and instead of showing the avatar image that displays on the course description page, it shows
[course_instructor_avatar instructor_id=”1″ thumb_size=”235″ class=”instructor_avatar_full”]
It happens for all links that are pointing to something internal. Links going to external websites seem to remain intact. But the ones that are for that domain appends the course URL instead.
I’ll quickly install CoursePress on another domain and see if I can replicate it. I’ve checked the permalink structure on this WP install and it looks fine, but maybe there is something I missed.

In reply to: [CoursePress Learning Management System] Sale price isn't workingHere’s a quick video of what’s I’m experiencing with the Sale Price function
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [CoursePress Learning Management System] Sale price isn't workingThe check mark doesn’t stay checked after saving. It’s similar to the other issues I’m having with content (I’m sure you’ll see the video file shortly). Sorry for sending so many messages. I just really want to resolve these techy things so I can focus on helping the students get through the remaining 13 days of the program.
Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: [CoursePress Learning Management System] error code line 1097I don’t have the manual payment activated, so yes. This could be related to paypal no accepting zero payments. Although I do this with woocommerce all the time, with no errors. Paypal is my only payment gateway there. Also, I use s2member with one of my membership sites, and it’s able to bypass the paypal error too. I’m confident your developers will find a way to get around the error.
unfortunately I installed from the WP directory. I’ll wait for the next release before adding the second course. Thanks again Tyler.
and a follow up video. I’ve figured out how to trick the course overview into saving changes, and also included a closer view of the URL redirection problem I’m having.
The same thing is happening with course content now as well, not just the description and course overview. I’ve made a short video showing what’s happening, in hopes this can be fixed quickly. I have 79 students enrolled in a course, and the content I added 3 days ago is not longer there, and nothing new is saving. It’s too late for me to switch to another plugin, so I need to somehow make this work.
Actually, I’ll post the video link here, in case someone else can benefit from watching it too
https://screencast.com/t/w2OEyox62Cupdate: I logged out then logged back in and now the “update” button is intermittently displaying in the course overview area. It seems that when it does display & I’m able to check it before it disappears, the changes are saved. Changes do not save when I click the next or previous buttons though…
update on the WP DEBUG.
It was already set as false. Could there be another reason this is happening?
If you’d like to see these errors live on my site you could use the coupon code TYLER
https://14dayproductchallenge.com/member/courses/define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);
Thanks again for looking into this Tyler! My students love the design & I’m hoping we can work out these bugs so I can use it long term.

In reply to: [CoursePress Learning Management System] error code line 1097I’m using paypal express, but these users had prepaid before I had CoursePress set up, so I gave them a coupon. I believe that means they’re being processed through the manual checkout, even though I don’t have that option selected. I could be wrong.
This is single site install, with only a couple of simple plugins (CoursePress plugin & theme, marketpress lite, WP clone, SEO by Yoast), and no modifications through css or php.
I’ll check in with wp_debug
thanks again.

No, it’s not part of the menu, but part of the body of a lesson. Would it be helpful to give you access to the file?
sorry for taking so long to get back to you. My WordPress emails have been blocked in gmail, so I don’t get notifications, even though I check the checkbox (weird, I know).
Here’s a screenshot of one of the links I’m referring to.
Thanks again Tyler!
If I set up the membership plugin and the course is free would I still bump into the problem of needing to manually approve each free membership?
