Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: New install – no visualHello. A few things you may want to try to help isolate the issue…
1. Switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
2. Resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin.
3. Re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
Let me know if that gets you anywhere.
Cheers.

In reply to: Installing A HTML Code and Getting It onto A PageHello. Happy to help you here.
There are numerous different ways to display Amazon products on your site. Where do you want to show them? As a post? In the right bar? Footer?
Can you pass along the link to your site as well?
Cheers.

In reply to: Help – my site is down!Hello. I just tested https://www.www.cavernofcraftiness.com… and it’s loading fine for me now.
Are you still having issues? The issue would certainly be with your One.com host. What are your email alerts saying?

In reply to: It's not fancy, but it's a startHello. Great start on your site! You’ve managed to include a good deal of content while keeping the layout clean and easy to navigate.
A suggestion on design… the photos you’re using are certainly inline with your content and business. But they are very “stock”. I’ve seen the same or similar images dozens of times before. You might want to consider bringing in some lifestyle imagery (people with tech) or images that are combine the tech with something organic.
I think that would help set you apart from the others.
Happy WPing!

In reply to: New Blog- Need Tips!Congrats Fiorella. The site looks great. I really like the theme as it has a very clean and fresh aesthetic. Nice choice.
Fact is, there are no “get traffic quick” fixes. Most importantly… keep adding great new content!
Google and the other search engines will find your site and spider it soon if they haven’t already. Look into the Google Sitemap plugin, and you may want to look into one of the tagging plugins as well. Reading other blogs and leaving pertinent comments is another way of building “juice” in a healthy fashion. There are hundreds of sites and articles out there on the subject, regarding some of your questions, you may want to research meta tags as well.
Again there is no quick fix, especially for long term success. Keep reading, writing, and plugging along is the only real way of assuring yourself traffic.
Good luck and happy WPing!

In reply to: Log in ProblemHello. Who is your host? Try checking with them. Other posters have needed to have their host unblock it.
Or it could be an issue with your .htaccess file.
